I get a professional bra fitting every year. Funny thing is, I wear different sizes in different styles from the same manufacturer. I wear Soma bras for every day and Wacol sports bras. ALL have underwires. I have an amply sized chest (D cup) and need the support. If they fit properly and the bra is well made, I can't even feel the wire. I grabbed a couple of cheap bras from Beall's once when I forgot to pack mine on a quick trip to FL, and they were definitely awful.

I don't get the "rest & recover"? Why should I not wear bras or shoes 2 days in a row? What is going to happen?
I'm not trying to be snarky. I just don't understand the thoughts.

Recover from what?
As a proud member of the Itty Bitty Club & basically a new bra wearer (haven't worn one since 1968). That comment is strange to me.
As for the summer, I go braless. I found these stickie cup thingy at Kohls.
I throw my bras in the machine in hot water inside a mesh net using Woolite & air dry.
I also wear them more than 2 days as I take it off once I am inside.
Bras still looking good after a year.
FWIW... I had to go to a bra boutique shop to get properly measured for a bra size as well as a proper bra-type I liked. I was clueless at the age of 65 when the "twins" decided to move down south.
Hot water breaks down elastic a lot faster than warm water.

I take my showers at night. And I take the bra I've worn that day and give it a good rinse in the shower stream. Then I hang it up to dry.
In summer it can be dry by the morning but I alternate the bras I wear.
I currently LOVE the Olga Flirty balconette style. It gives a great lift and is very comfortable.
Had Wacoal bra a few years ago and absolutely hated it. Couldn't replace it fast enought.

I'm at the stage in my life, age 63, that I sure am glad that I'm small busted. I always wanted boobs like everyone else but not anymore. I'm still perky and never saggy. I only wear natural cup bras, no padding, no wires, no molded cups. ![]()

Always was fairly small. I used to envy women who were substantial up top!! But later on, I was happy to be small. I could wear anything and not have to worry about the fit. I had friends who were large and they had back aches and lamented that they couldn't wear a lot of cute tops.
I had a fitting once years ago and I don't think the person was any good as I didn't feel better after she recommended the size, etc. I know if you do get a professional, then this is a very good thing!
I always liked wearing underwires as they gave me a boost! But started having pain and was advised by dr. to not wear them any more. I do like wearing bras with some padding. I think it give tops a better look.
I wore a new top one day and wore a very soft bra -- no padding to speak of. I got no compliments -- all.
Two weeks later I wore the same top with a different bra --- a bra with padding --- and I got a ton of compliments!
So, yes, I agree --- proper undergarments can make or break an outfit!
Of course at my age --- comfort is very important!!!! I won't be in pain for anything or anyone! LOL!

Hand wash ........
Wait. You're suppose to wash your bra?
😆
There was a popular blogger who tweeted this out,
'If guys knew how many times girls wore the same bra without washing it they would never.....'
and the responses were awesome!
