Thank goodness you noticed what was going on in the birdhouse or the little sparrow would also have died!  I think that your assumption was correct!  Thank goodness for folks like you that know so much about mother nature and birds.  After reading your post and not seeing any birds here for a day or so I asked my husband who is nice and tall to check the bird houses when he went out to fill the feeders.  I am short and cannot reach anything. He checked several houses and said all was good! Had bluebirds checking out the houses a couple times this week.

The hawk in the water was very interesting.  It looked like it was just standing there!

Not much going on here which is fine with me.  I needed a break. I did go grocery shopping yesterday and went for a haircut today.  Other than that spent most of my time at home doing this and that...lol.  I am hoping today to sit down with my husband and watch a good movie or two. 

The weather has been pretty good for March.  This Monday we are suppose to reach 60.  We have decided to BBQ but have not decided what as yet.
