@viva923   My mower is running sometimes through Thanksgiving.  Less for the grass by that point and more to vacuum up the leaves that fall off of the trees.  Sure is easier on my shoulders than raking.

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.

Aww Bless Cooper @mousiegirl   Cooper's right eye is running and they need a vet to look at that.

Re: Bird's Nest for October 2022

Well I think I mentioned I was happy with the first fence estimate on this thread.  In general it was a pleasant experience.  Later that night I read the disclaimers and section of the form about 'responsibility'.  In order to make sure I was reading it correctly I read it at least 15 times. This company basically says the fence installation is my responsibility even if they come in like a wrecking ball and break something.  Okay 99% of the job is on dirt/land - no cables, wires, gas lines or anything under it.  2% of the job involves removing/replacing a chain link fence post right next to my house.  One of the posts is dangerously close to the A/C line that runs from the A/C into my basement.  I just paid good money last year to have a new HVAC system installed.

So..... I've scheduled an estimate with another company (next Saturday), filled out one of those online forms to request an estimate from a 3rd company and am ready to get a 4th estimate if need be.

Days like these I really miss having my husband around to discuss this kind of thing.

@Bird mama

I second that statement one thousand percent!

(Not that I don't miss him for other reasons too.)
