Mousie,  It's a Snowy Owl.   Not sure where this was taken, but they have shown up as far south as Mid-Missouri, if not even further south than that.  I sure would love to see one in the wild. 

 


@possummink   This is what I know of a snowy owl.  I do remember posting many pictures of them, also in flight, but they were as in this picture that is why I didn't recognize it in your picture.  I saw one at a zoo.
