Hey @gloriajean   I never heard of Carble before so I googled it.  I made it a few minutes into the explanation and said, yea I don't think this game is for me.  Woman Very Happy

Re: Bird's Nest for May 2022

@Leeny  They changed the laws here in Michigan a few years ago.  Back in my day, you were fully licensed to drive at age 16.  Over the years they changed the rules and if I understand it correctly kids start at 16 but don't get fully licensed until age 18.

The kid who ran the light was young, probably 17-19 years old.  The Mom begged the cop so the cop gave me the ticket.  The ticket was only going to stick if the parents and cop showed up to court.  The cops told the Mom that he would spare her kid the ticket so long as she stayed away from court when she was summoned and she did.  I was furious and I did argue with the cop.  The ticket was never assigned to my record.

Years later I was in my neighborhood and a guy came around a corner wide and slow and I couldn't back my car up fast enough and he bumped and damaged the front of my Nissan Versa just not bad enough to deploy the air bags.  I had to call the cops because I didn't want my insurance to give me any cr@p.  The guy admitted he was at fault and was given a ticket.  The man was wearing work coveralls and looked exhausted - I hadn't seen someone look that rough since I looked in the mirror when my mother was critically ill in 2010.  He looked like he was carrying the weight of the world on his shoulder.  The cop gave him the ticket and I said, when you summons me to court, if I don't show up, will you drop this ticket?  The cop said, of course.

Incidentally the guys insurance reimbursed me for my deductible.  I didn't want the guy to have a ticket on his record.

Re: Bird's Nest for May 2022

I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis which is an auto immune condition that gives me an underactive thyroid.  Given I have a cousin with Lupus, my sister and cousin had RA, one of my cousins has Reynaud's and my uncle had MS - I'm basically dodging autoimmune diseases on my mother's and father's sides of the family.

I've always been thankful that of all the autoimmune diseases I could have gotten hit with, I got a bad thyroid.  I forget it's an autoimmune problem...until I get a covid vaccine.  (I don't take the flu vaccine and I've never received the shingles or pneumonia vaccine).

I've had a lasting reaction every single time I've been injected and I think my body is getting sick of having to generate some kind of immune response.  By bedtime last night, I was pink and rashy/hivey looking on both sides of my neck, under both arms and all over my chest.  Not to mention my poor right arm that was jabbed.  I'm this close to saying, stick a fork in me, I'm done.  I hope they update the vaccine to be more effective against the variants because I ain't going through this again for the 2019 version.

@viva923

It must have been the day to go to the "doctor" and not able to get things done. DH couldn't have his ultra sound due to incompetent personnel. No one told him or I that he needed to fast for 6 hours. He was steaming too. Now another trip, plus it's the morning after his sleep study. That will be another mad rush to get him to the clinic to the other side of town. grrrr.
