@luvsbulldogs I am so sorry to hear of your health issues. I have just recently changed my primary doctor due to issues with the previous. Nowadays, it is difficult to find a doctor who takes on new patients.
DH needed to find one in this area as if he should need hospitalization at some point, he needs to be in the hospital down here rather than SF. His primary just quit to go into another medical field. Only because I was connected to a medical center here was he able to get a doctor within, or so he was told by someone, not sure that is really true, but it wouldn't surprise me.
I would love to see so much wildlife at one time here, usually just dribbles. Now that I hardly go out anymore, I rarely see deer, used to see them daily.
DD comes home on Saturday. This time, DH booked the reservations, I never would have had her come home on a Saturday, so dreading the traffic there as I think Saturdays would be more busy, though will soon find out.
I hope you will be done with that awful cold soon. I take a lot of vitamin D3 which I think prevents me from coming down with colds, and have told DH and DD to take it because they have them often.
The different varieties of eggplant are abundant so we are eating a lot of those, scatterings of zucchini, next year I will plant every two weeks, didn't know to do that this year, and still waiting for tons of tomatoes, all green yet.

I know exactly what you mean about doctors taking on new patients especially if they come highly recommended. I decided to remain in the group of doctors that my doctor was with. The doctor I chose is highly recommended so I will give him a chance. I just hope that he does not change all my meds.....if so I might go with someone else as they seem to be working for me. I heard today that my doctor did not retire but rather went for some sort of change in the medical field.
Thanks for the well wishes. I think this is more than a cold as it is lasting way too long and we still do not feel so good. Have never had any cold like this before. I cannot take any vitamins because my body rejects them but DH can and I have him taking Vitamin C and also D 3. He seems to always get sick first and then gives it to me.
You must be so excited about your DD coming home this Saturday. I hope all goes well with her travels. Enjoy your time with her!!!
Enjoy your veggies!!! I love eggplant!!!

@luvsbulldogs A doctor I had many years ago told me that if a cold lasts longer than a week, that is too long, so I should see her. Before that, I had always heard two weeks. There is always a risk of pneumonia , which it turned out I had one time,. she said "a little,: could barely walk and breathe, which is when I finally went in as by then, I realized it was something serious.

Australian Wedge Tailed Eagle (gives you some idea on how big these creatures are!)
Hi Birding Friends, Just a short note.. I was almost afraid to go to the Osprey nestcam today but was glad I did. The fledgling that flew off when the eagle attacked the nest and took Spirit, came back to the nest this morning after landing on a boat's mast that was anchored near the nest. The parents fed both of them , Eric and Little B. I checked several times and they seemed fine. Hope it continues.
Catch you tomorrow, God willing and the cricks don't rise.

Luvs, do hope you start feeling better and not only that, GETTING better pretty fast.
I am going thru the whatever of a new MD. My regular MD who I signed up with when I retired in 1999 is retiring and is working only 3 days a week. I can still see him but it is tough to do and quite frankly not real sure how long he will do that. I was told to get a new primary MD - I signed up for one in January and was accepted BUT the new MD cannot see me until October. That is a long time to wait but the year's wait for a MD had become quite common out here. I am in the same group as I am not willing to change - thru many years they have had the best doctors and best everything else in my opinion. I went there when I first came to California in 1960 - of course they are much larger now and have offices in several areas here instead of the one they started with in Redlands. We are near Loma Linda but they are way too big and difficult to find a good parking place and to find the right building and then when you find the right building trying to find the MD is a chore into itself. Nope, as big as Beaver Medical Group is, mine, I will stay with that - and it too is quite large but parking and buildings very accessible.
Birds were all about yesterday - nope, that does not mean there are a lot of birds - gotta go. The little one is glaring at me through the slats in her crib. LOL

Thanks for the well wishes. I was thinking it was strep throat but don't think it is. I am starting to feel better today.
I have decided to stick with the same group of doctors as you did for the same reasons that you gave. I have been doing some checking and also phoned my family doctor and was told to stick with that group.
I now have 2 large hummer feeders out and they are emptying both daily. I am thinking that all the newbies at this time of the year are the babies. Hate the thought of them leaving in the beginning of Sept. but it is what it is.
