Handsome crossed the rainbow bridge and I can picture him there singing up a storm :-)

I've never seen an eagle in real life.  You're lucky :-)

@Bird mama Their wing-span is huge. BreathtakingWoman Very Happy

 I have a hummingbird that comes and talks to me when I'm sitting outside.

I never knew that they made any sound but this one talks to me.

Aww mousie, he was such a beautiful male sparrow.  I was lucky to know him even if it was only 2 days.

@Bird mama  At least he was warm and safe from any predators which may have been lurking.

@mousiegirl

He was in an immaculate environment where he could hear the song and sounds of other familiar birds (my sparrows upstairs and my pigeon - all over the place, lol).

His passing was peaceful.  I can tell even though he passed when I was away from the house.

I've seen sparrows cross the bridge many times, including my beloved Peewee in 2014.  They take a deep breath, extend their wings and point their feet as if they are taking flight and then they retract their wings and their soul takes off :-)

Handsome did the same thing - he's little feet were in the flight position and his wings were by his body.
