@Leeny   I'll tell you what, @Epicurean  knows alot about what you are feeling with skeletal issues.  Well, at least an MRI should eliminate most of the guess work.  I hope your grandson's birthday get together went well.

Re: Bird's Nest for April 2022

We've had a few hours here and there of sunshine over the past couple of days.  There was some kind of front that kept looping over Michigan.  At least it didn't fall down all at one time and the thawing earth was able to drink it in.

I forgot to mention that on Wednesday night about 15 minutes before sunset, a duck couple came by to eat.  I watched them and had to laught when they strolled through the yard and shimmied through the gap in the gate by my back fence and strolled into the school field.  They were here yesterday morning - I haven't seen them today.

It"s in the 40"s and raining off and on,same yesterday. The sun came out a couple of times in the late afternoon. Cloudy and dampish. yuk!

I have my appointment with a specialist tomorrow.I should find out about my surgery then.I won"t be sleeping much tonight. This waiting can drive a person nuts.Next week I see my oncologist as he was concerned about my labs. Too much fun.

@hellie jo   I can relate.  I am sending positive vibes to you that all will go well. Smiley Happy

Re: Bird's Nest for April 2022

@Epicurean

Oh my, you sound like me or l sound like you. I'll tell you, this all goes way back to when I was 16 years old. I was putting my pj's on and my back went "out" I couldn't straighten out. Long story short my mother took me to a chiropractor and did a leg adjustment to both legs and for $3 that was a huge help. Of course I had to return to see him a few times. Then life went on for awhile. I've had back issues ever since; one way or another. I've had injections, I've had every type of therapy, but about 2 years ago the charlie horses started.. gradual, then recently went to severe. I'll tell you that one last Wednesday was the killer. Then later that morning at the clinic is when I fell when the left leg buckled. I've never fell straight back like that except for one time years and years ago I fell on ice getting out of my car. Of course I was about 35 years younger and healed a lot faster.

My issue besides the fall is wanting to know why I am getting these horrible charlie horses now??? It's not the magnesium as they first thought and it isn't my potassium and I am not dehydrated. ?? More questions than answers is what I say.

I get that MRI next Friday and see the Physical Medicine doctor on the following Thursday for follow up. I think the next step is seeing a neurologist. I was told years ago to avoid any kind of back surgery at all costs. mmm? And that was from a neurologist. I really believe if I hadn't been suffering so long with those charlies I wouldn't have fell.

Well, I'll find out soon enough I guess what the plan  will be. With me all dinged up and my DH not doing well, we are a couple of dysfunctional functions. He told me this morning when I took him to the clinic that he looked at the calendar and the entire summer is booked and that is not for any type of vacations anywhere! Woman Sad Dear hubby can't drive due to macular degeneration.. I told you were were a couple of dinged up messes.

I do know I have degenerative arthritis and spinal stenosis and the good old Fibromialgia. I have friends that are 10-15 years older than I am, and they feel like a million bucks. It's taking me a million bucks just to feel this way... Woman Frustrated

Re: Bird's Nest for April 2022

@Bird mama

Years ago and I mean years and years ago. We lived next door to something like what @viva923 is dealing with. When we purchased our house we thought the woman living next door  was renting.--nope her "daddy" owned it. She ran with a motorcycle gang and it was horrific.. then a drug dealing couple bought the house and only to find out the guy's dad was a pastor;. can you believe it? We were so naive back then we didn't know what the heck drug trafficking was.. more people coming in and out like that and we thought it was all church related... LOL OMG. I wanted to move the night after we moved into this neighborhood. lol, but we wound up living there 25 years. It did improve, but it took about 10 years. then it started to go to the dogs about the 24th year we lived there. Thank God we got out of there when we did. Now it's just about all rental property.. Not good. So this story reminded me of my ordeal.

@viva923  She's lyin.  You can't live in a house with someone and see them running out to a car several times a day and not question what in the hey hey is going on.  On the brightside - he's gone.  Unless she was in on the drug use and the 'visitors' know as much I would tell them hit the road and look for the guy who owes him money.  There's a snake in the woodpile with her story, hmmmm.

Re: Bird's Nest for April 2022

I'll just add our weather report here today. We've had rain, snow and cold------again! High today is 40 and windy. Just with that can make a guy feel tough.

I was just looking at some old photos when our ducks use to come and nest under our cedar tree. I sure miss those little guys. The last year she was here she had 14 ducklings. Woman Happy
