Re: Bird's Nest for April 2022

It's another dreary looking day here, this time we got rain.  On the bright side, the grass is starting to green up.

Re: Bird's Nest for April 2022

I know it's late for me to getting on, but better late than never. I'am just checking in to let you all know I survived the EMG test yesterday. It was no fun to say the least. I now am scheduled for an MRI for next week.

I was able to go and get my haircut today, it was looking like a fright.

Our GS birthday tomorrow and to make it easier for DH and I myself, it is going to be here. It's just the family and my DD is bringing the cake and pizza. Which is good for us. DH has an INR in the morning so another early day.

Very cold and rainy and dark here today and it looks like this is the pattern until the weekend, but the weather does its own thing so I am not counting on anything.

@mousiegirl   I know, the weather is crazy.  We had springlike temperatures - 50's and then we got snow and freezing rain and highs in the 20's, low 30's.  I don't know how the wildlife adjusts to it without keeling over.  Chippy the chipmunk ended his hibernation when the weather was good and I'm glad he loaded up on nuts and seeds because when it got cold I didn't see him for 3 days.

@viva923  She's lyin.  You can't live in a house with someone and see them running out to a car several times a day and not question what in the hey hey is going on.  On the brightside - he's gone.  Unless she was in on the drug use and the 'visitors' know as much I would tell them hit the road and look for the guy who owes him money.  There's a snake in the woodpile with her story, hmmmm.

@Leeny   I was thinking about you and praying for you and I'm glad that the EMG is behind you.  Did they tell you anything or do you have to wait for the doctor to 'interpret' the results.  It was both legs for the EMG right?  Are they doing the MRI of the lower part of your body because the EMB didn't tell them what they wanted to know?  Only answer what you feel comfortable with.  If you don't feel comfortable answering any of it - just say so - I'm not easily offended and I don't like to make people uncomfortable.

Re: Bird's Nest for April 2022

It"s in the 40"s and raining off and on,same yesterday. The sun came out a couple of times in the late afternoon. Cloudy and dampish. yuk!

I have my appointment with a specialist tomorrow.I should find out about my surgery then.I won"t be sleeping much tonight. This waiting can drive a person nuts.Next week I see my oncologist as he was concerned about my labs. Too much fun.

Re: Bird's Nest for April 2022

@Bird mama

Thank You for thinking of me Woman Happy I'll tell you what I know, which isn't a whole lot. I have pinched nerves between my L-3 and L-4 vertebrae. Plus a lot of narrowing in my spine. Plus my osteoarthritis in my back has gotten a lot worse since my last x-ray. Gee that fall didn't help me did it? They also think I might have a torn ligament in my leg and damage to my soft tissue. The MRI is for all of my lower body-from the waist down. So there you have it. I am a mess. My tail bone is causing a lot of pain at times too. The Physical Medicine Dr. said she wanted the MRI to get a more complete look at things.

I am still using my walker, which is recommended. No pain pills, can't take anything, but Tylenol , which doesn't do anything. I apply EMU cream to my lower back and my left leg mostly. I am so stiff from that fall, it's just crazy.

LIke I said before, our GS's birthday is today and we are having a little family gathering for him here. He has his karate lesson after school and then they should be here about 5pm. Thank God I don't have to cook or do a thing. DD is bringing pizza and she dropped the cake off already. ++++

DH's INR came back with good numbers today. He has to go back for recheck next Wed.

Cloudy, damp and windy here today. My arthritis doesn't like it at all. Hope all is well with you and the rest of our nester's.
