Hello friends old and new and welcome to the Bird's Nest for April.  I have an Audubon calendar hanging in my office and I thought I'd start this month's thread with the featured bird for April.

The Crested Caracara is quite a distinguished looking bird Woman Happy

Caracara (genus) - Wikipedia

Commentary: Crested Caracaras need protection

"Related to the typical falcons, but very different in shape and habits. The Crested Caracara is a strikingly patterned, broad-winged opportunist that often feeds on carrion. Aggressive, it may chase vultures away from road kills. Widespread in the American tropics, it enters our area only near the Mexican border and in Florida. 'Caracara' comes from a South American Indian name, based on the bird's call."

Among the trees is a bird's nest,

and in the nest her three eggs rest,

and in each egg, Hush, you'll be heard!

There lies asleep A tiny bird.

@Bird mama  I am having sciatic like symptoms in my left leg.  Right now no muscle spasms.

How are you doing?   Haven't run into you in a while.

Hello Everyone,

Sorry on the slow post. I will give you all an update @Bird mama @viva923 and all my other good friends in this nest. Woman Happy

Good Night EveryoneWoman Wink

First I will try to make this as short as possible. I went to the Dr. yesterday, actually seen a P.A. I had blood work and x-rays. No broken bones in my back or any compression in my spine. Thank Goodness. I still can't believe I do not have one bruise. My coat really must have cushioned me.

They are going to schedule physical therapy as I am so darn stiff it isn't funny. Plus I had another horrendous muscle cramp in the other leg, the right one about 11:30 pm. It was awful too.

My primary doctor is now ordering an appt. with Physical Medicine and Reumatology and also an EMG for both of my legs. Like she said she hopes this gives us some answers. That makes 2 of us.

I'll keep you all updated when I know anything else. My DD purchased a donut cushion for my tail bone for support and is coming over in a little bit to drop it off.

I want to thank you all for your thoughts & prayers.

@possummink

Thank You for all the gorgeous pictures for April.
