It was a bit breezy, lol, around here yesterday.  Pigeons were hanging on to the power lines with a death grip.  We had sunshine yesterday and have sunshine today.  I still have piles of snow that need to melt.  

My Dennis Basso short trench was reduced another $5.44 yesterday so I asked for and received a price adjustment.  Money is money.

My birds are happy again.

I ran out of my usual sunflower seeds during the extreme winter weather we had a few weeks ago.  I rationed them until I knew I could get back to town to buy more, but when I finally managed that every store was completely out.  I did manage to find one small bag of the high priced nut and fruit blend which has their black oil sunflower seed in it.  

But they didn't like it at all!  Every day I ended up tossing out half of what I put out for them.  What I don't understand is that it had shelled sunflower kernels and they didn't even want those!  This was premium food that was expensive, but I guess they're just used to the black oil seeds.

Yesterday I finally found one store that had gotten a shipment of the black seeds in the 40 lb bags.  I usually buy the 20 lb bags now because I can't handle the large ones well anymore, but I got one anyway because it was literally the only game in town.  I put some out this morning and the feeders are full of birds again.  Definitely creatures of habit.
