Happy Independence Day. It is uncomfortably hot in my part of the country. I stumbled across man made floating nests which are built to help water birds thrive.

I thought that was the sweetest thing.

Gorgeous eagles - such a great bird!!! And the ducks, raccoons, doggies, cats, etc - they apparently all had an exquisite Fourth of July - just the way it should be!!

Very nice right now in Sou Cal but I know what is coming later in the day, probably a lot quicker than later, LOL - and tomorrow it will be blistering.

The fireworks were too plentiful and it makes me so very angry. They are ILLEGAL in most places here but some areas allow it - we DO NOT - however they were going until after 10 last night. And what makes me more angry is the fire station is less than a block from my house- suspect they did nothing about it - and where were the deputies? The animals must also have been going crazy. I have never forgotten Sarah, a great Husky Don use to have. She almost killed herself on his fence one day when idiots were setting off fireworks - thank goodness I was able to call him at work and he got home but she was seriously hurt.This was the day before the holiday too.
