Re: Beginnings of New Life at the Bird's Nest - May 2019

Well we had rain yesterday.  It's not so hot but it is humid and I'm working on cutting the grass today.  I did the front yard and am taking a quick break to sip a tall glass of water before I head out to do the backyard.  We're getting rain again tonight and tomorrow.

I have to seal the chimney crown for my family room fireplace (small crack) and just when I got excited that the rain was going to go elsewhere for 3 days starting on Sunday, I see that the temps will drop on Sunday and Monday below the tolerance level for the brushable crown repair material that I bought.

I guess Tuesday will be the day and I will get at it early so I can put two coats on and it can cure before the rain returns on Wednesday.

I have so many little jobs for myself that involve the outside of my property and it's hard to get them going with this rain.

I guess it would be worse if I was working and only had the weekends.

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise
