Well the guys saved two of the drey nests however they cleared so much growth even at the top of the tree the nests are kind of out in the open.  I wouldn't blame a squirrel for not wanting to have babies there.  They may as well turn on a light that says come eat my kids. We kept the cavity nest.  The guy said the limb was otherwise healthy so at least there is a more private nest available @possummink

There are many elements: wind, fire, water
But none quite like the element of surprise

@Bird mama Eichhörnchen

Bernie,   The leaves near the top of the tree should start to leaf out from where the limbs were cut pretty fast.   Hopefully the squirrels have built a 'roof' of leaves over their nest when they made the nest.   That's how our squirrel nests look.   Haven't gotten a close up look but it seems to be a leaf ball with an entrance on one side.

Neat pictures - as usual. Had to laugh at the picture of the Scotty sitting on the kitty. Conrad would snuggle up to fat old Blubba Belly Miss Blackie and a similar pose. Actually they truly loved to snuggle. LOL.  Weird.

Am going to bed - am really tired.
