Doctors' offices?!! Hotels, yes, but I never ever would have suspected doctors' offices.  I wonder what it is about doctors' offices that makes them prone to bedbugs? I don't think any of our doctors have upholstered furniture, so where are the bugs hiding in the office?

A few years back, I heard that a high-end luxury clothing store in NYC had an infestation of bedbugs in the store.

Recently my son,DIL and infant granddaughter stayed in a 4 star hotel in another town. They were there because my granddaughter was having surgery there. She awakened during the night and my DIL noticed a red raised spot on my granddaughters face. She turned on the lights and yes there were bedbugs. They were horrified. They  didn't have to pay for their room. They had to wash everything before wearing it and bringing them home.

We had bedbugs when I lived in a co-op. I blame my mil because she was always bringing clothes from second hand shops and yard sales. It was a two bedroom and it cost 1000.00 dollars and everything had to be bagged and I mean everything. We also couldn’t be in there for 4-5 hours as they were working in it.

Surprised at the cost. Did you get multiple estimates?

A family member just recently went through this for a 1 BR, 1BA about 850 square feet, and treatment was only $500. (And yes, the treatment did indeed get rid of the bed bugs.)

My family member got them from an AirBNB and brought them home...

Well I will attach a picture.  My mattress is very heavy and so it is hard to lift it up and look under.

My spots are so tiny I thought i have some type of blood disorder or worse.

I did not see anything, changed the sheets today.  But now that I remember he got home from spain about 2 months ago and that's when it started.  They are only on my arms and a two dots I see on my lower thight.

the other morning I woke up and there was blood on the sheets down by my feet. Strange.  He says I'm crazy.  But how come these spots do not get bigger and go away after about 2 weeks only to resurface in another area?  He is tanned so it's hard to check his arms plus the hair.  I'm very pale and so easy to spot.

That he is has lived in South American and knows exactly what they look like and how the bites look like.  Mine aren't it.  I'm not so sure!

We just bought the mattress 9 months ago too.

Geez, if they have to heat up the house to 144 degrees take out your medicines meaning pills. Heat destroys the potency.

here's a pic:  The one on my lower arm started bleeding from itching yesterday so it looks bigger.  They are small pin points and flat.

@Pink123 I don't know. Bed bug bites affect people differently. Mine are just tiny dots and not as many as you have. And mine don't itch. Do you see any dark bug spots on your sheets? Look in the piping around the edges of your mattress. They stay close to the one sleeping in the bed.

I hope you don't have them.
