Re: Beautiful subdivision names please !

A lot of subdivisions have been built surrounding where I reside over many years.  Until the past five-ten years, the names were pretty non discript, relating to the area of location; ie: pine run estates, melwood manor, moreland manor, edgewood, crooked creek, or old notable family names which originally populated the area.

Then the naming became more creative; eagle's nest, river forest, hawk's landing, trillium trails, whitetail crossing, woodland acres, foxes run etc.  Honestly, this made me sad.  The land which was once forests, large woodlands and farmland was totally clear cut to put in subdivisions, streets, and the necessary utilities that go with it all.  They no longer remotely represent what they were being named after.

@sarahpanda  It sounds like a lovely area.  To be only 30 minutes from the ocean sounds devine.  I hope DH and you find an enchanting name.

I use to live in a subdivision called CandleWood Ridge.  Always liked that name.

We lived in a rural area for many years named Fallingbrook Estates. It was a wooded area with a stream winding through it.
