Back to school time...did you ever have to do a scientific experiment

you thought was wonderful? I loved growing seeds to some plant in little dixie cups. I didn't really care for the animals with 4 legs that wiggled on their tummies and had long tails. I don't think we ever did anything with snakes, thank goodness.

Re: Back to school time...did you ever have to do a scientific experiment

When I was in 4th grade, we went once a week for a month to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens.  We learned about plants, planted seedlings and watched them grow. It was my favorite field trip of all time.

I also loved growing a vine from a sweet potato and those volcanoes we made with baking soda and vinegar.

two:  simple one:          grew mold on a slice of bread

complex one:       compared effect of different metals in soil

on growth rate of Lima bean seeds

Re: Back to school time...did you ever have to do a scientific experiment

We made Butter to put on a cracker in 2nd grade.  It was really good.  In High school the science teacher swapped inside my mouth for Petri dish experiment.  Then showed everyone in class how yucky it was for my boyfriend to kiss me.  Color me embarrassed!!!!!!!!!!!!  The other wonderful scientific project was feeding the snake.  I was excused to go sit in the hall until all eating and odor was done.  Every Wednesday-----------tedEbear
