hey all

not much tonight.

1 load in dryer

1 load in wash, am exhausted

dh took me to church 25 min drive tonight in my car, wow, my car was quiet, soft drive, bone jarring was gone. looked at the paperwork tonight, i am in need of back brakes for my car, never have had them done, so in Jan, when i get my oil changed will have them do the drum brakes in back end of car. looks like everything is good otherwise.

cool tonight, my neighbor came and cut grass for me today which was nice.he does this out of the kindness of his heart, expects no payment. he is such a great guy. he helps us out when he can, he lives down the block from us. so he really helps.

no walks today, to busy driving getting car, do wash, folding clothes, had to put in dryer, just ran out of time today

It's humid here and we're under a severe thunderstorm watch (joyful, joyful....not).  Our weather is gonna be a little unstable this week.

hey bird mama,

dh saw this hutch type object tonight. it weighed maybe 10 pounds/ was under 4 foot tall. he said it was a flimsy whatever you want to say hutch, a corner piece. all this trouble over this was totally uncalled for. my neighbor vince girlfriend had to pick up this object because neighbor lady refused to put on the truck with her stuff. totally uncalled for, just can not imagine why this whole ruckus over nothing.

have 2 kids terrorizing our neighborhood. i do not know where the kids live. i finally had enough and contacted police what little they can do. these 2 kids ages about 12-15 yrs old, dressing up like the taliban driving around my neighborhood at 50mph or faster on dirt bikes, just doing whatever they want.they are not stopping for stop signs, tonight while i was out walking with my orange vest on, they came as close to me as possible without hitting me. what little the police can do.

@viva923   I meant to ask you over the weekend, how did the neighbor/furniture thing go.  You hate to be like this in life but I got to the point many years ago when I learned.... really don't help, I'll get it myself or work it out.  Sometimes when folks want to 'help' it becomes more of a headache.

The bad weather I was nervous about on Sunday passed me by.  Yesterday we ended up getting some heavy rain, again the bad winds skimmed north of me.  I think the east/southeast part of Michigan is gonna get hammered again this afternoon/evening and hopefully I'll miss out on the wild winds and hail.

The heating and cooling guy came yesterday to do the estimate.  Since I have never replaced a furnace/AC before I didn't realize how in depth and thorough this guy was gonna be.  He got here shortly after 3 pm and left about quarter before 6 pm.  This guy looked at everything and I followed him every step of the way.  He was the type of guy who explained as he went along and I found it interesting as he made notes.  I have an evergreen shrub on the side of the house where the electrical and I think cooling line comes out of the house and runs along the house to the A/C.  He said, ooh that shrub. 

I said what about the shrub.  He says it's in the way.  I say, lets look at it from the front of the house.  He says not to bad from this perspective but still kind of in the way.  I said, you and I can fit in there with no problem, send a skinny installer because I am not cutting down this shrub.  He says I don't know.  I say show me exactly how much clearance you need and I will consider taking out a small piece of the shrub.  I said you see a shrub, I see a habitat for sparrows in the winter.  We reached a compromise we can both live with.

I felt the price was fair, I put down the deposit and signed the contract.  They are coming next Wednesday to do the installation and then the next day the electricians are coming out to upgrade the old wiring from the electric company's meter that runs to the AC.  Its not within code no more and needs to be updated.  This is one time especially that I am glad the lady before me signed up for what used to be called 'cool currents'.  My AC has it's own meter so while the electricians are putzing around the rest of my house will still have power.

Boy,the humidity is back with a vengeance,it's almost unbearable. Don't think we'll ever get to turn the AC off.

My hubby had a nice,unsuspected phone call today. His niece Colleen called. If any of you remember,she had a couple heart attacks,I n the hospital. Has a battery pack attached to keep her heart beating. She doing Verry well, he said she sounded just like her "old" self. I know he was so glad to hear from her,she is hubby's late brothers daughter. We used to babysit her before we were married. Another bro passed away this past Jan . There is only two left from A family of five boys. He loves hearing from the nieces and nephews

I remember Colleen @Epicurean  and it's wonderful that she is feeling better and sounding like her old self these days.
