Did you ever have a day where it felt like the day got away from you? I went to CVS to buy Maxwell House Instant Coffee (great sale) and then popped into the grocery store for a few things. Next thing I knew if was 4:30

Some days it's just like that I guess.

@Bird mama Yes I sure do hear ya. I also think years go that way also.Seems like it was just Labor Day.

We ain't going to sit at the Fence and chat and nibble today. Nope. Too misty and too cold. All week it has been pure summer again but today has fooled us all - can be quite typical for September however.

You had another BD Epi. Hope things are well with you.

It's 65 degrees outside at 3:15 pm eastern time. Glad I did something constructive yesterday because it's cool and damp out there right now.

Yesterday I trimmed the evergreen shrub with the sears hedge trimmer and then I hand trimmed some of the weeping mulberry and the other leafy shrubs in front of my house.

My excitement today was washing a quilt (prayed I wouldn't break the washer) the comforter and some bedding. I have a nice cotton blanket that is heavy as all get out when it's dry. I'll be taking that one to the laundromat to use one of the commerical washers. I don't think my washer could handle that one without breaking. I was going through a storage chest when I found the blanket, handn't used it in a few years and it's beautiful and warm. Might as well get it ready for winter.

@Bird mama Smart plan! I had some excitement this afternoon when the dryer wouldn't turn on...click, click, click and that was all. Mr. L came home and took it apart and found a broken belt! He ordered another one from Amazon and it may be here on Wednesday. Luckily I just had some cleaning cloths to dry that I could air-dry in the meantime.
