A few years ago someone (I am so thankful for her advice) recommended trying Amazing Laundry Pre-Wash. It could be purchased at the Dollar Tree.

I would make special trips just to buy it. I thought it did such a good job getting rid of stains on clothing.

Well, I looked for it a few months ago. Could not find it. Thought maybe it was temporarily out of stock. Went again yesterday. No where to be found. Once again a product that I liked and am pleased with the results have disappeared.

Before using the Dollar tree product I used to use Tide Stain Release pods. Would wrap the pod directly on the stain and put it in the washer. Only to have the stain still there after the item was washed. So I was thrilled that the Awesome product actually worked.

Sad it is no longer available.

@drizzellla

I just searched for "Awesome Laundry Pre Wash" on ebay and a few listings came up.

Forget the Dollar Tree prices.

I don't know how much you'd be willing to spend, but there was a 4 pack of 32 oz bottles for $28.99 with free shipping.

Maybe Amazon should also be checked.

It's still around.

Yes it's on Amazon and Walmart. Certainly not $1.25 but maybe bigger bottle.

I use Dawn as a spot cleaner but not as a pre wash for the whole load.

@Tinkrbl44 @VanSleepy Thanks for the information.

Yes, the bottles I bought at Dollar Tree were 32 oz size. Not sure I am ready to pay $28.99 for 4 bottles, yet. Ouch!

But now I know where to go.

I also use Dawn and Dawn Powerwash. It is a huge help.

It used to be a running joke at work. If people would ask me if I went to lunch yet, I would point to my shirt. If it was still clean, it was a good chance that I hadn't had lunch yet.

Too often I would try and eat my lunch salads at traffic lights on my way back to work from the grocery store. And too often a beet or something else would go bouncing down my shirt.

The best stain remover that I have used for the last 5 years can be ordered from Starcrest dot com for approx. $6 / bar which lasts a long time.

It removes stains in sweater shirts that have been washed and dried for many washes ( DH insisted on getting my cousin's old college sweatshirt that remained " stained " ).  I tried it not hoping for a miracle but got one !

It removes blood without rinsing.  Sometimes you can actually seen the stain disappear as you rub the bar on the fabric.

For ease of use: cut the bar in half and consistently use the same edge to rub.  The bar lasts a long time.

You can but it on Amazon for approx. $45.....or just the $6 I mentioned !

Why is a pre wash necessary?

(2 pack) Neutrogena Glycerin Facial Cleansing Bar for Acne-Prone Skin, 3.5 oz

These facial bars work wonders on stains.  I just wet the bar and rub the stain on the clothes and then throw it in the washing machine.  It removes the stains.
