@spix

I don't know why I didn't think of that.  I'll putter with the phone and see what I can do.

I'll give it a try.

Re: August 2015 - Back Fence

Okay, this month, Consumer Cellular sent me emails about local classes on how to use my smartphone.  I didn't bother because, hey, I'm 53 and know how to use my phone, right?

Well....... thank God for online articles about stuff.  It took a village (rofl), but I figured out how to send pics to my regular email AND figured out how to save the pics in the texts to my phone gallery.

Janey Mack!!!  It shouldn't have to be this complicated (lol).  Granted I don't have the smartest phone out there, but really :-)

Re: August 2015 - Back Fence

while I was typing my computer froze and I thought I'd lost the entire post so was surprised when I came back online and discovered my post had been posted stopping with the first letter of a word. Anyway, gotta fill out six pages of nosy questions from this doc, 3/4th's of which he'll probably not even read.

Happy Saturday all! Sue

Re: August 2015 - Back Fence

Sue, did you get all your questions answered for your Doc - the nosey one?

Not suppose to be as hot today and I sure hope that is true. Now that is NOT saying it will not be hot, just not what we have had for the past couple days. Suppose to be back to normal - we shall see.

Church was good yesterday. Had a few new people and it also seems some disappear that have come there for a long time. interesting. Guess that happens when there is an upheaval in a church - I find it sad. We sure need some more members but the faithful are so very good in helping with things also.

Hope all have a great day! By the way, did get my house somewhat cleaned yesterday after church.

Re: August 2015 - Back Fence

Hello all ~

It's hot and humid and will continue to be all week - blech.  Not much going on here other than being busy at work.  Monday's are always productive for me.  Tuesday's are my Monday's (lol).

Greetings all. Well, my appt. with my rheumatologist went stupendously. I was so impressed with him, his nurse and the speediness with which I was ushered into the office and his subsequent appearaqnce. He looks to be about 18 well that's a slight exaggeration more like 28 Smiley Wink but he is very bright, very professional not to mention very nice. He asked various questions, a few pokes and prods of my joints commented on my previous lab reports and made some further comments about those results and said he wanted a more comprehensive lab workup before prescribing as some of my labs could be from my lung disease and not RA and he wants to be sure to prescribe the appropriate drug as the wrong one can actually cause a lung disease. The nurse came in and drew blood and then I was sent up to the X-Ray dept to have my hands X-rayed. The wait there was very long, but at least I had a good book and an ongoing dialogue from another patient on the remodel of her home which I had a bit of interest in as though it was a verbal version of HGTV the TV version which I was missing at the time. I actually only half understood the last chapter of the book I was reading as I was combining murder with bathroom backsplashes Smiley Frustrated

I thought Jim was going to have a heart attack this afternoon when he opened the mail and saw that our water bill was over $130.00! He called the city and they checked and said it was posted correctly and that they'd send someone out to double check, but in the meantime Jim checked under our house and saw water standing and realized we indeed had a water leak. We'd had one a few years ago and a pipe had to be replaced and I'm sure that's what will be required this time as well as our house is an older one and seems to always be needing some repair.....sorta like us Smiley Wink

Happy Hump Day all. Sue

Re: August 2015 - Back Fence

More hot and humid weather here.   Don't care for it at all.    Our summer just arrived late this year.   We got very spoiled. Going to have to take a brief trip to the store   Senior day was Tuesday so they should be restocked by now.    Queen im so glad you enjoyed your new doctor. He sounds a lot like our heart doctor.   Looks young but confident.

Don't blame you for loathing that humid weather, Betty! I cannot tolerate humidity, hence the reason we live in this part of the country. The weather here is a little cool so much so that I turned off both of the ceiling fans in the kitchen and den areas.

Freddie, I've been watching the Q and seeing so many Irish sweaters and wondering if you ordered one this year. I remember how you love them. I saw one or two I sort of liked, but I knew I didn't need any more sweaters though I don't have any of their quality. I did order two of their poncho's years ago and I've really enjoyed them. They just showed a one time only sweater.

The plumber turned off our water this morning and has been by to see if it's dry enough under our house for him to access the area, but he said there is still lots of water down there and I thought later I should have said "I know -  $132.00 worth of the stuff"! Smiley Sad

The access to the crawl space is through a small closet in our master bathroom. The plumber took the door off of that closet and mud has been tracked throughout the room and a big glob on the scale and I'll be surprised if Robin can come tomorrow as the plumber and his helper wiil likely be working or at least I hope they'll be here. I told Jim we may have to go to a motel if this goes on much longer as we can't be without water indefinately. We shall see how much water has evaporated when the plumber returns this afternoon. It's a mess, but messes happen and we just have to roll with the punches.

Happy Thursday all. Hope your mess is less messy than my mess! Smiley Wink Sue

Update: Plumber was here and says still too much water in the crawl space and he plans to be back tomorrow afternoon. So looks like Marine bath's and using distilled water to flush and we'll see what tomorrow brings, but no Robin to clean Smiley Sad

....and I kept watching the Rose of Tralee show until I saw a sweater I thought I had to have: The long cardigan with capelet in garnet.  Just couldn't resist! Smiley Happy
