@SharkE. The greenish part looks like synthetic, lab made opal.  Thry use it a lot in jewelry since Australian opal is practically  non-existant.  The white is mother of pearl.

yeah, they said synthetic was stronger for wear and tear and was as good as the real and not half the hassle. I was reluctant to buy it especially for retail of 240, but, they seemed to know their stuff and said it was harder, etc.

I just naturally liked it something about no fading factor either.

 

Opal, I gather is a tricky, touchy stone to mess with. They took 25% off of all their stuff, so,think they took off 55.00 off. Ball and chain hollered "194" with tax LOL

I should have reminded you to stop and smell the Russian olive blossoms!  The best part of ABQ in May.
