Geez I stumbled on a YouTube video of people dancing at a Swing dancing championship and this guy is great, Sam West.  You can tell he just enjoys it so much and is having fun.  I would love to be able to dance like this, but my two left feet would get in the way!  I remember doing a lot of line dancing at junior high dances on Friday nights.  The Continental was a favorite back then and we had a lot of fun.  This video will makes your toes tap!  😀  Are you good at dancing?

I wore out many a pair of disco shoes!  No wonder we were so thin back then.

The last time I went dancing was at a club in New Orleans. Other than the electric slide at weddings, haven't been dancing in ages.

In short, yes I'm a good dancer but terribly rusty.

So cute to watch these senior dance championships.  Yes, he is a very smooth guy!

I love to dance and I love to watch dancing.

Throughout my life I have taken eight different types of formal dance lessons (ballet, tap, flamenco, modern, Hawaiian, salsa, belly, ballroom) and zumba, and I would dance every night if I could.

With ballroom dancing, the right partner is essential.

I always look forward to all the dance shows on the television, and this year, that is all we can have, due to live dancing on hiatus.

@FancyPhillyshopper  Wow, that's awesome that you took so many lessons!  I took a Zumba class once.  Thought I was gonna have a heart attack!  Sure is a good work out!

I took tap dancing lessons for 14 years, but that and square dancing is about all I can do. I dropped out of ballet.

I am not graceful on my feet at all...I stomp when I dance and it ain't pretty.

@Carmie  Wow 14 years of dance is a lot! I'll bet you were good, and not a stomper. I remember having to do square dancing with the boys in junior high gym class.  We all hated it!

@LdyBugz    My mother enrolled me when I was really young.  She wasn't allowed to dance..it was a sin in her family. She never learned how to dance and didn't want me to be socially ackward by not knowing how.

LOL tap dancing sure didn't help. it wasn't something I could just do at a high school dance. I did it to make my mother happy...it wasn't a love of mine.  I would rather have had music lessons.

I learned square dancing as an adult.  A friend talked me into it.  I was just going to watch, but I got talked into trying it.  it looked so complicated, but the caller was wonderful and i had a blast.  It was a super good cardio workout.  I never knew how much I would love doing something nerdy.   I did it once a week for a few years.

I don't think we have any square dancing around here anymore, but I would join a group if it started up again , but I wonder if I could keep up.  It is hard work.

I love to dance.  Unfortunately my body does not cooperate anymore, stiff and painful.

But, as a child my Dad taught me to fox trot, Mom taught me the Charleston.  I took tap, toe, ballet and modern dance during my young years, but continued on with ballet/toe for 12 years from 5 through 17.

I love all types of dance.  Went dancing somewhere usually 3 times a week from my teen years to the last 7 years.  I sure do miss it.  I try at home, but it is not fun anymore as I can't really move it on out and I miss that.  I can remember in my 25 foot living room taking up the entire room dancing myself freestyle to Dancing Queen, now that is fun.   So many dances popular through the years - do you all remember the stroll, the frug, shingaling, philly dog, the jerk, watusi, the bugaloo, the twist.  Loved to jitterbug, disco just everything including square dancing and polka.

Danciing was my passion.
