Although I don't feel 100%, I am not feverish and my right eye is clearing up.  I think I should be able to drive to work tomorrow.

Re: April 2017 - Back Fence

[ Edited ]

Bernie, be careful that you don't push yourself too fast.  I don't blame you for not wanting vacatin days charged tho.

We are having off and on showers. It's much cooler today.

Nothing exciting goiing on here.  I think my laundry soap and my last load of clothes are going to come out even.   I must remember to pick up some more the next trip to store.  I could have gotten some at Costco but the boxes are too big to fit In The drawer under the washer.

My dogwoods are so pretty.  Hope the rain doesn't knock the blossoms off for awhile.

I'm writing this from the desk at work :-)  Since I never visited a doctor and was working the home remedy route, I didn't want to push beyond 3 vacation days because the company has the right to ask for a doctor's note.

I feel a little spacey today.  I got about 4 hours of sleep last night so that could be why.  I think the cough syrup (supposed to be 12 hour) got me buzzed up.  I also used chloroseptic spray and that did the opposite for my throat - it didn't calm it, it set it on fire.

There was one point around 3 am I thought I was going to have to turn myself into the ER.  I prayed, calmed down and drifted off to sleep.  The throat still hurts, just not like fire.

Bernie, hope your day yesterday was a lot better than previous. Take care

Wind was something else. Am sad, dumb me put the umbrella up day before yesterday as the kids and I were sitting at the table. FORGOT to take it down and as a result the once beautiful glass outside table is in a million pieces and the umbrella is not in the greatest shape but still usable. I am lucky - and so are others - it had not flown away as they can do that and cause terrible damage. Davey will have to get up all that shattered glass and then I have to figure out how to dismantle the table so I can get the metal in my container - will take forever to get that done. That was originally a nice set but the chairs were already falling apart - the legs were resting out - have never seen or heard of outside stuff doing that. The legs were literally rusting off at the ends so using a couple of those chairs was a bit rocky. Probably will have to have the garbage people bring out a small Dumpster and toss all the junk in there - often that is the only way to get rid of junk - have enough here to fill a HUGE dumpster but do not have the energy to do that. Guess I must get it done one way or the other.

Well, after trying it my way for a week, I turned myself in to urgent care this morning.  The dry hacking cough was keeping me up at night (lucky if I got 4 hours sleep), both eyes had conjunctivitis and the throat was aggravated beyond infinity.

Nothing 'natural' was gonna turn this around, lol.

I have eyedrops and augmentin.  Mind you, the last time I was prescribed the antibiotic augmentin was over 30 years ago for blood poisoning for a dog bite.  My lungs are clear, but my eyes are off, my ears hurt and my throat is inflamed.  I passed whatever quickie test they do for strep throat but the doctor is still sending out a culture.

I didn't go in asking for anything.  I don't know what he saw, as he can't quite put a diagnosis on it.  Whatever it was, he's going to make sure he hits it hard with augmentin.

Bernie, so glad you are getting medical help.  It sounds like it was in the nick of time.  Sometimes nature is just not enough.   There is a lot of nasty stuff going around.  My sis is finally getting better.  They are doing some further testing on her to make sure.  Take care.

Freddie, sorry to hear about your umbrella and table.  It will be hard getting all that shattered glass up.  Do you think one of Daveys friends would lend a hand if you offered to take them out for a fancy sandwich.  Two boys working might be a good thing for both of them.   Don't want the little ones getting cut on metal or glass.  Around here we almost always have to treat metal stuff with rustoleum  it almost always rusts without it.  Glad no one was hurt.

What a difference augmentin makes, lol.

Two doses into it - no more sore throat.  I had some dry coughing last night however I think I managed to get about 7 solid hours of sleep.

Grayson has been keeping vigil near the couch for 3 days - love that bird.

Clearly Grayson recognized his Mama was going to live as he didn't keep vigil over me last night.  Still having the bouts of dry cough, but managing to get sleep for several hours.  Eyes are almost cleared up - I'll continue to use the drops for the entire prescribed time to be on the safe side.

It's damp and cooler here.  I had to go grocery shopping and wore a cap and winter coat to the store.
