I could swear I saw that same squirrel on another thread. I need to go to bed.

Hope all had a good day!

hahahaha @Winifred

I posted it on the Birds Nest thread too since some folks in the nest don't visit the fence.

The body is a strange thing isn't it? Got to bed a bit before dark, yippee, and slept very good. Have not been getting enough sleep for a spell now so enjoyed it. My point is that this morning I can hardly move - just want to stay in bed. Guess I did enjoy it. Need to get a move on for sure - Davey gets pushed out of bed in about 10 minutes anyway. Only Davey and I in the house last night and it was very enjoyable!. It's short lived however. LOL. Course I can always come home and go back to bed but really shouldn't = who knows!!

Another chilly night and is only suppose to get up to about 75 today. Sounds good to me.

Went and got some more of those great Bagels from Aldi's. The brand is LF Bagels, never have heard of them or seen them before but without a doubt they are the best bagels I have ever eaten. Cinnamon and raisin of course. So just like before will leave some here with some cream cheese and coffee as usual.

Rain may come back tomorrow and Sunday - we need it.

Hope one and all have a very good day.

Morning, another dreary, rainy, cool, day & yes the grass is growing like crazy but too wet to cut.

@birdmama, interesting squirrel, once every few years we have a black one visiting, apparently rare cause the Chgo Trib had an article a few years ago re:some in a neighboring suburb, I wonder if he/she will be shedding the "off" color?  We here have quite an assortment of critters also, skunks (yikes), possums, had a dead one that got caught under my fence last summer, had to keep Sadie in till a neighbor removed it

@Winifred must try those bagels at Aldis, love bagels so I'll be a the back fence for samples

Hope all have a good day

Hey Freddie and Essie  @Winifred  @spix

It remains overcast with occasional showers and it looks like that pattern will continue through the weekend.  No mowing wet grass for me.  Oh well, I'll have lots of grass clippings in over a week from now.

Was pretty busy at work this morning.  I was assigned to a project that's been underway since February and I had lots of catching up to do.  They thought the business requirements were completed, until I came along, he he he.

Well, as I said yesterday rain was expected tomorrow. Being tomorrow now, the rain did appear - came down pretty good. Needless to say the feeders have not yet been filled. House windows are filthy with the rain we have had past couple months and then blowing dirt and then hot days. Ugly windows for sure. But at any rate may get out and fill a couple feeders so the feathered ones out in the rain will find something - hopefully will get them all done by days end.

Leaving some more of those bagels - I had TWO for breakfast. Yummy!!

Will finish my cup of coffee and then TRY and work up some energy to get something done around here.

Have a good day everyone. By the way I DID get my exercising done this morning at the gym. Happy day!

@Winifred

Good for you for getting out there an getting your workout done this morning.

Did any of you ever have a melancholy day and not know where in the heck the melancholy came from?  I have nothing to be sad about and I can't shake this melancholy feeling.

I think one of the contributing factors is that the best boss I ever had in 35 years (he retired in 2008 or 2009) died on Thursday from pancreatic cancer.

I left the area in 1996 and hadn't worked with him in 20 years.  He was only 63 years old.  I don't know, all these folks dying at what I consider a young age.

@Winifred  You got rain, no fair, lol, we were promised, but it only drizzled mist for an hour or so.  Last night, I thought there was a hurricane outside, strongest wind ever.  I always remember a real spring here as windy, cool, and sunny, which we havn't had for years and years, but this wind is ridiculous!  It has calmed down a bit and is warmer, but in general, I hate wind!
