Anyone Familiar With Kohls Cash?

I  had to return an item yesterday and when I checked my $15.00 Kohl's cash this morning it said I didn't have it.  I checked the date and it was still valid I am wondering because I returned and item I lost my Kohl's cash? Have you had this happen to  you?

I use Kohl's cash all the time. It does expire pretty quickly Did you check the date? ALso if you used the Kohl's cash on the item you returned then you used it. I am pretty sure that they don't refund the kohl's cash.

Re: Anyone Familiar With Kohls Cash?

I have used Kohl's cash in the past, and when I returned an item I was very unhappy with what they did. I no longer use it. My daughter had the same experience with it recently, so she also will not use it again.

I think it is okay as long as you only use it on one item per purchase, not on  "several different items" in a purchase.

I hope that makes sense.

Thank you for your response. Yes, I wasn't happy either if I had known that this was going to happen. How is this fair? My $15.00 in Kohl's Cash had nothing to  with my return. Very disappointed.

Re: Anyone Familiar With Kohls Cash?

I think that’s very fair as you had earned the $15 kohl’s cash for spending $50 in the store. By returning an item, you brought the total of your receipt below the required $50 to earn the $15 kohl’s cash therefore taking that kohl’s cash away.

Re: Anyone Familiar With Kohls Cash?

Yes this happened to me.

I did Christmas shopping there one year.

I think I earned 4 Kohls Kash for $200 in purchases.

I returned 1 item, which made my purchase less than $200 so Kohls reduced my Kohls Kash from 4 to 3.

I was surprised but I understand the policy.  My original purchase, less the return no longer qualified for the 4 Kohls Kash coupons.

If your scenario is different, call the store, they can explain.

Re: Anyone Familiar With Kohls Cash?

Kohl's Cash is basically just a coupon.  A coupon with a short expiration date and strings attached.  Unless you shop at Kohl's on a regular basis, it's much ado about nothing.

IF the item you returned was part of the $ amount required to earn the Kohl's Cash...then if you return the item you also lose the Kohl's Cash if it is prior to the redemption period.

Re: Anyone Familiar With Kohls Cash?

I  have had that done to me also......BUT i understand that i spent a certain amount to receive the Kohls Cash and thereby returning the item the Kohls Cash wasn't valid anymore because i was credited for the item..............if they didn't cancel the Kohls cash everyone would buy stuff, return it and profit from the Kohls Cash for free.

I agree.  If they did not do that, can you imagine all the people who would buy a ton of stuff to rack up the Kohls Cash - then return everything?
