I got a text from dear Annibelle.

From her texts I gather she may go home on the 9th.

If she lifts her neck more than 30% in the night neck brace, she will snap her vertebrae, which is the most damage.

She can walk "but has terrible rules to follow".

Her arm is terribly fractured and there is come concern about permanent damage from what I can gather.

She said to please pray and she has funny, true stories to tell.

It seems she feels a touch better.

I am sure the nurses on her floor are enjoying her humor!

Thanks for the update @ECBG .

Annabellthecat must be getting better as she now has her sense of humor back!  She's begun her healing process - hope she'll have an easy journey throughout her recovery.

This makes me worried for her. If her neck is that fragile, I wonder why they didn't put her in a fixed halo, rather than a neck brace. No one wants to hear, 'you can snap your vertebrae.'

She's going to have a lengthy recovery. But, I'm glad to hear she's feeling a little better and getting her sense of humor back. I, too, bet the nurses enjoy her.

She's missed. Sending healing thoughts her way for an uncomplicated recovery.

@BlueFinch

Thank you.  She scares me to death.  We've been friends for such a long time.

@ECBG Thank you for sharing this with us. Sounds like she will have some months in therapy and recuperation.

My sister, a little over a year ago, shattered her leg. If you would see it on xrays it looks like a robot leg. With all they can do, they put it back together and she is walking fairly normal again. It is amazing how far medicine has come in some of these more serious injuries. My continued prayers for Annabelle.

@ECBG

Thank you for the update.

I just love @Annabellethecat66 , and I hate all this for her.  I've been concerned for her since she first hurt her back and didn't seem to be healing well from that.

But I'm sure by the time she's released from the hospital her daughters will have everything arranged for her.  She will be overwhelmed with help.

Most of all, I do hope she isn't in a lot of pain.  And I hope she'll be back with us soon.❤️

Thanks for the update @ECBG .  Please let Linda know we are hanging in there with her and rooting her along as she recovers. It's a long hard process when you fracture bones and we will understand her struggles.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.

Walking is important!

Doctors and nurses want their patients out of bed as quickly as possible and it's not just because they want to put someone else in it.

Getting up and walking is the first step (no pun intended) towards recovery.

Good news! Heart
