Check out this info for yourself. I got this from IG.
If you have an Alexa or a Prime membership, you may be eligible for a 2.5 billion lawsuite. 1.5 billion is going to customers.
Amazon accused of tricking people to sign up for Prime and then making it very hard to cancel. Alexa has been found guilty of listening to our conversations without permission (I've mentioned this here multiple times). If you have an Alexa, used to have one or have a Prime membership, you could qualify for all these class actions.
You can follow the suit on an app called Settlemate: Class Actions. If interested, again, double check my information.

With all the current and former Prime members, I'm guessing I'll get a check for around $1.49. HA!HA!

I read about the lawsuit. One has to have signed up for Prime between June 23 2019 and June 23 2025 to be eligible. They also couldn't use more than 3 "Amazon Prime Benefits" in a 12 month cycle. The article said that the maximum payment would be $51.I don't know when the money would be sent out.

How is Alexa listening to our conversations any different than our smart phones listening? It happens all the time. I can't tell you how many times I go to "google" something and my phone already knows what I'm going to ask about.

Oh no, @monicakm , I know you didn't say it was any different. I wasn't questioning you. I was more or less thinking out loud and wondering why there is a lawsuit against Alexa doing this when phones do it too. That's all,
