I, along with all of my co-workers work fron home. Our manager expects all of us to respond quickly to her emails . However when we send her an emil, It could be several days or never to get a response. Unacceptable as far as I am concerned in a worplace.

If you are expected to use money for the business, they should give you a business account. Lacking that, ain't no way I would be putting up my own money because someone my superior didn't find the time to let me know. Incompetent people are at all levels, but when it comes to me spending my own money? Ain't happening, and I couldn't care anymore about it than the one that ignored my question or request.

I think you need to figure out (or let us know if you already know) whether this is just the way they treat you (or a few people) or if this is just the culture and workplace practices that the whole company uses.
If it is just you or a few that seem to be having this problem, the problem might be you (and the other few), your attitudes, your fit with the others etc.
Either way, you can decide whether or not the job, pay and benefits are worth the frustration it brings you.

There are many variables in office communications. Ask your suupervisor what the appropriate protocol is in your business environment. Just because you only work two days a week doesn't mean they can prioritize thier work to accomodate you. (Sorry if that sounds mean...I don't mean it to.) I'm retired now but when I was working I received in excess of 200 emails a day! Yup! Impossible for me to get through them and respond. I had to pick and choose. I asked my direct reports to call or come by if they had questions.

That is just plain bad business. I have been retired for fifteen years, but the rule where I used to work was that you replied to every email in four hours or less. If you did not know the answer, you said so and either said you would research or that you were forwarding to xxx and that they should expect a reply within four business hours.

My company culture is a LOT of emails. Our new VP's first comment to my manager was "you all send a lot of emails in this department, don't you?" LOL
The issue in my company is that because we have so many devices that sync to our email and so many emails are received, that they are often overlooked and coded as having been read when they haven't been read or just lost in a sea of emails.
I send 1 follow up email after 2 weeks. If it's important (like risk to the company if it doesn't get handled), I will send a 3rd email. and leave a voicemail at the same time on their work phone and cell phone and reference said voicemails in my final email to them. And then I am done because I am not the mommy.
CYA.

This very funny because since the day I started my first job 30 something years ago "I didn't get that email" has been a classic lie...lol I work in a modern work environment that just is not possible anymore. If your company has this problem, someone should alert ISD so they can figure it out. Of course, volume is another matter. I do find that some employees send email more than others when it isn't even necessary.

I'm in HR, so when I am working an investigation or a performance issue and "I didn't get the email" comes up, I got to IT and get the screen shots and all the proof that shows they did get the email.

Just an FYI ..
I never got an email, but they reimbursed me when I went to work.
I guess it was no big deal to them.

hmmm....maybe they don't care what your spending money on then! BUT I would't be using my own money again risking it....there must be a way you can get approval with company funds up front....I would see your supervisor about this so you never have to risk using your own money on their projects again....it might not work out so good next time.
