Re: Almost Time to Spring Forward!!!

I am not a fan of springing forward. My internal body clock never adjusts to it and the last few years in particular, I feel "off" for the duration, until it switches back. I also tend to "tell time" by where the daylight falls (yes, I own clocks, but it's just one of many weird things I do)..lol

I seem to be synced with standard time permanently...

Looking forward to spring and summer, the warmer weather and flowers!  By June 21st, we will have 22 hrs of daylight, and the sun doesn't really set in the horizon.  I don't look forward to these extremely long days, as it really plays havoc with your body clock/sleep.  Thank goodness for blackout curtains!

@AKgirl2  I was in Alaska in August and it was really weird to walk down the street at 11pm, and it's broad daylight.  I wonder if crime decreases in the summer?  I don't think they covered that on Alaska State Troopers, one of my favorite shows.

I don’t like the change.  Being a morning person I want daylight in the morning, not at night.  I don’t think switching the time back and forth is healthy from a sleep or biological clock standpoint.  It seems unnecessary to me.

Re: Almost Time to Spring Forward!!!

I prefer daylight savings time and wish it would just be the permanent time, at least here on the east coast.  When the clocks go back in the autumn, it's just way too dark in the afternoons. I would much prefer a darker morning and a lighter evening, even though I know that will mean I'll have to drive to work in the dark.

It does mess up my body clock though, and I have to work early that Sunday. Groan.  I think I may take someone's advice (thank you) and set the clock at 7. I will have to convince my body that it's later than it is, but it's worth a try.

Re: Almost Time to Spring Forward!!!

I hate Spring Forward with every molecule in my body. I've hated it my whole life. It effects me very negatively. When I had young children, it threw them off schedule for a while. Here in the Midwest, it gets light at 4 AM during the summer.

It makes me hate summer even more than I already do.

The government needs to stay out of my body clock.

I am pretty passionate about this.

Always throws the dogs off schedule.....in the fall they are up an hour early for about 2 weeks before they get used to the new time
