When Aveda first came out my hair, which is now a nice white color, was battleship gray and I was having my hair colored.  My stylist at the time turned her shop into an Aveda Concept Salon using only Aveda products.  I began using them at home too including their makeup.  I loved the smell of all of their products and my hair was very healthy.  I really liked their makeup especially the lipstick.

The products at that time were very expensive but to me well worth it.  I even used their essential oils as perfume at that time.

I am not surprised at the cost now.  But its to much for my budget now as I was working at the time I used it so I could afford it.

@Imaoldhippie  Ahhh, the smell of their cherry almond!!  Keep your eyes on your SALON for sales.  Aveda runs sales at their salons every now and then.  Sometimes it's 20%, sometimes even more.

@BarbiHollywood I remember Cherry Almond. It was the original scent of Jergens hand lotion. Great scent.

That's a buy for that size of those Aveda products.

And it's the shampoo and conditioner, plus a hair tonic.

Other places you'd pay that much or more for just the shampoo, and more for the conditioner.

These might not be for everyone, but QVC does have some good prices on some things compared to other places.

The OP states:  (Aveda shampoo or conditioner $77.00. And I could make those sudies w/ anything that is foamy.)

She writes "or" not "and".  So that would be $77 for each.

We all knew what OP meant. I just don't understand why it's necessary to nitpick.

@Group 5 minus 1   Many of the skin/hair/makeup  products can be purchased on their own site with perks like sales, points, discounts, two-fers, etc.

The only thing QVC offers is easy pay. That's not a deal...it's lay-a-way under a different name.

Aveda? QVC often sells the huge sizes because they cost more and shipping is higher. The same goes for makeup sets offered w/ brushes they say are worth $40 (!?!?). Purchased in bulk, like a company does, brushes like those cost maybe $5. It ups the price of the sets like Mally, Tarte, etc. and the last thing I need is another brush.

Auto-delivery is a way to be locked in for these higher prices for a given time frame...not a  reduced price for signing up. My skincare at Kiehl's or Skinceuticals or DRMTLGY gives a big discount if you sign up for a "replenishing plan". That works for me.

@Group 5 minus 1   Yesss!  But, ahhh, the scent of the Aveda is so much better!

I used Aveda Color Conserve for years until they changed the formula. It’s awful now (at least for my hair) and the scent is no longer pleasant.

I now use Biolage.

Just Googled. If you are rich enuff to afford this product bless you.

I will never convince anyone that these products are pretty much the same.

True statement.  I can't use shampoo with certain sulfates, sodium chloride or silicon (which are very common ingredients) because they will strip my color and my Pura Luxe treatment.

Yes there are drugstore products that don't have them but I still find I don't like the artificial fragrance or they are too watery and used up too quickly.

The only brand I have used that is available in most drugstores here is Purology.  I used it for a long time and then just got tired of it.

Yes, I liked the Jergens scent too, but you are 100% correct about the Aveda being so much better.  😊

Re: All time low or high for the q

The Cherry Almond Shampoo AND Conditioner and a thickening product is $77.98 for the large size 33.8 oz.

You get all three products for that price. There is no either/or its ALL.
