In my area,once again, it's going to be sweltering. Look like no relief until Sat.

I told my 18yr old grandson,do not use the oven for anything,because I'm trying to keep my townhome cool and comfortable.Guess what?He put a frozen pizza in the oven at 450 for 20 mins.!(I was at work and had no control over this.)I was told after the fact.

It's 11:23 pm here in St. Louis and it's 90 degrees. I believe the highest temp today was around 98 with a heat index of about 115. They are predicting these high temps with a cool down to the high 80's sometime around Sunday. Dangerous heat !  Stay safe !

It's been running 103 - 105 so far this week . . . with predictions of 105 through Thursday. Then a cool down in the mid-90's for Friday. Oh, and the humidity is sky-high! The sun is shining and the sky is blue.

I have canceled my lawn mowing for tomorrow. Don't want to be responsible for heat stroke for the lawn care crew in this brutal heat! I can live with a shabby lawn until next week. STAY HYDRATED and SAFE!!!

Hopefully the nights will drop into the 70's soon and we can say goodbye to the 110's after this weekend. I'm sooooooo over summer. September just has to be better. It just has to be.

@Luvsmyfam ... Oh no !!! It must have been so hot in your townhome when you came home!!! What was your reaction when he told you? I would not have been happy he did that...that's for sure!!! I would suggest you sit him down and have a talk with him again...saying "I told you not to use the oven for anything." ...and again tell him why. He's not paying attention to your rules! I give you a lot of credit for letting your grandson stay with you! I wouldn't be able to do that! Things you tell kids that age goes in one ear and out the other! ..."but I was hungry!" ...he'll probably say! Good luck!!

Yes I've talked to him again,and said he has got to follow a few simple rules or else this won't work.Its always different when they have their own place,and have to pay utilities

@We rescue cats

That sounds like October or November to me! Send some of that cool weather toward the middle of the US . . . or other parts of the country that are blazing hot. LOL

It's been a crazy weather summer here, today it will be sticky again. . . at least the storm they warned us about for last evening missed us. I hope those that got hit with it are all safe.
