There is more, but it might be TMI

When I post, I always hope there can be a back and forth discussion going on.

It seems rude to me to not try to include as many as possible who have been part of the discussion. So, always the first name is the OP, I want to include that person as a courtesy and thanking them for starting the topic.

Then, the next four names are people who recently posted regarding the issue.

It gets more complicated for me after four people because my memory fails me. HAHA not funny😄

@LTT1  Not TMI. It does keep the replies going.

Someone said that we can delete our own thread but we cannot. All we can do is edit our own messages.

@Shanus

Embarrassing 😳 when I cannot remember!

@FlowerBear

Good to know because I have always been wondering about what I could/could not do to my OP.❤️

@FlowerBear  I deleted my own post this morning in Beauty. There was a misunderstanding.

When you hit EDIT...one of the choices is DELETE. Then a message comes up and asks you to confirm.

@FlowerBear   The 3 dots upper right corner are for those choices.

@FlowerBear  Must have misread your post. There’s a place to delete your post not entire thread. You’d have to beg the mods to do that.

If there are any responses to your thread you can't delete it.

Maybe I'm blind or my timing is off but I don't see anybody being viciously attacked.  If there is a confrontation, the mods shut them down very fast.  We do have some paranoid types who think theyre being mistreated just because someone else has an opposing opinion.  I really don't see a problem.

I do hate to see threads disappear with no explanation.  I think the mods owe an explanation to those who took their time to post on the thread.

ITA ....  I think that might be, in part, because they have little to no experience posting on message boards elsewhere.   When you start a thread, there's just no telling what life experiences and commentary will be referenced.

In spite of efforts to stay "on topic" sometimes the conversation meanders a bit.  If you post hoping everyone will always agree with you all the time, or that disagreeing is really "picking on you", you don't belong on any message board.

As for being hesitant to post, re-read the regs for these message boards, and go from there.   I've seen a few threads closed for reasons I thought were over-reactions, but, hey, it's their board, and their rules.  If you don't like that, go somewhere else.   JMO

Just an fyi, but I assume you also know you can go back through the thread by clicking on "View discussion in a popup" that appears below the new reply box when you respond during the course of a thread.

If you really want to individually name all the posters without relying on memory, you can scroll through the whole thread to see who is part of it and without limiting yourself to the most recent 5.  Depending on how long the thread is, that might take a little bit of time!
