Re: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! Disaster at home

I had a pizza slide off the pan onto the floor face up one time and I just put it back in the pan and served it. My kitchen floor was just cleaned and it wasn't soup so no harm no foul.LOL Sorry about your soup, what a mess to clean up.

@FuzzyFace. So sorry that happened. What a mess! I’m sure it was delicious soup, too.

@FuzzyFace

Never a dull moment at Miss Lorraine's.  Glad it was only the soup, though!

Re: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! Disaster at home

My adult daughter was visiting for a few days. She decided to make mac & cheese. Melted the block of velvetta cheese w/ milk in the microwave above the stove. Upon taking it out she dropped the whole thing. The stove was covered with melted cheese.  We had a good laugh over it but what a mess to clean up!!!!

Re: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! Disaster at home

Oh yes, I can identify. Before my retirement, weekends were cooking days. In winter, I liked making soups that were a meal unto themselves. After preparing several servings  of beef vegetable soup, I asked my husband to take the soup out of the refrigerator for me to heat up. He grabbed the soup container by the lid, whereupon the bottom of the container fell onto the floor and splattered soup everywhere. My beagle was right there to help us clean up. What a mess!

Re: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! Disaster at home

I can relate OP! But I'll have to admit your soup was a lot more messy! Years ago I made the most perfect, scrumptious cheesecake for Christmas dinner. I spent a good part of the afternoon constructing this prize. My dh came home from work and I pulled the springform pan containing the cheesecake out of the frig to show him. Yup you guessed it, the springform pan came apart and my pride and joy cheesecake fell to the floor! I broke into tears. Oh well, we now all laugh about that "floor cheesecake" that we call it now.

Sorry I laughed but I just couldn't help it. And if amyone wants to laugh at my disaster, go ahead; I won't be offended. It IS kind of funny.

Re: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH! Disaster at home

I can relate.  I have dropped dishes, started the food processor without assuring the top was firmly on, etc.  My worst experience was years ago when I decided to heat up a dish I'd cooked in the crock pot.  Yes, I put the crock on the burner.  You can only imagine the mess I had when it cracked.
