I WAS going to make split pea soup for dinner tonight so I started it in my slow-cooker this morning. When it was done I decided to put it in my downstairs refrigerator since there wasn't room for it in the upstairs one.

Yes, you guessed it: just as I was about 6" from the 'fridge, the pot slipped out of my hands and my DH and I are taking turns cleaning up the mess (thank God for paper towels, ragged old dish towels, and old jeans).

Guess we'll have leftovers instead...PS: I just found some soup in my HAIR!!!

Oh No! I thought you were going to say that fridge died. Well I guess it could have been worse ( dead fridge, fall on the stairs, etc.)

After the clean up, go treat yourselves to a nice dinner at a favorite place.

I have had days like that too!! Sorry the dinner took a dive..................Years back my husband and i were celebrating our Anniversary but i had just had a medical procedure so couldn't go out.....we ordered a beautiful Italian dinner for delivery....they delivered it.....i went to the kitchen to set up and ready the food and dropped the main course all over the kitchen floor.....it wasn't pretty...but something we laugh about today!!

Self made home disasters just make you want to pull the covers over your head and not move....... been there done than - uncooked sweet potatoe pie.

Hubby is a dear to help.  The rest of the day has to get better.

Oh no,  I know how you feel.  I have done that myself a few times.  My dogs come running over to help themselves and usually tramp in it and walk all over the floor before I get my bearings.  

I end up washing the floor and giving the dogs dogs a bath.

There is a reason, we own a shop vac.
