Hubbs had to return a chain saw part to Amazon Prime. UPS is 2 miles away. DIdn't even have to package it, just gave to the UPS agent w/ the necessary info on a sheet of paper. By the time we were home(we had other shopping to do so about an hour), we had already received credit for our return.

Group 5 minus 1 - I know! Their return methods are amazing. I just had to return a pair of shoes, went to Staples, no packaging, just the box it came in and my code. Went home 10 minutes later and my return was credited. It takes a month or more for QVC to issue a return. I love Amazon Prime!

Yes, I agree and happy with Amazon on how returns/refunds are handled. I use the UPS drop off method at a CVS store right down the street from me, so easy (I do re-package/seal the return) and when I get home I receive confirmation from UPS acknowledging the drop off and no sooner thereafter a notification from Amazon issuing a refund prior to receipt of the return.

You don't have to be a Prime member. I am not, and have used the same easy and fast return method.

I've used the return kiosk at Whole Foods for Amazon packages. It was so easy - took maybe 2 minutes. Had the credit on my card within am hour. Impressed.

@SoCal Bred I've never tried the CVS drop off. Most of my packages are pre-paid return items and I always end up standing in line at UPS waiting. Thanks!

Sometimes I just pack it up myself and drop it off an my local Parcel Place. Other times they want me to go to Staples. I just bring the info on my phone and they do the rest as well as give me a recipet. Refunds and given right away!

@cindyNC - As of 2 years ago my local Kohl's used to accept Amazon returns not any more. Our UPS facility opens at noon, whereas, CVS opens at 7:00a, much more convenient for me.

My UPS Store has an area that you can do it all yourself. No standing in line. Scan, bag and go. Refund in less than an hour.

@Group 5 minus 1 I always take mine to my local Kohls store and likewise just hand them the item, no bag or box needed. Money is returned in about an hour after drop off.
