Welcome, gal.  Sometimes I just stop during the day and think of one small thing at home that makes me happy.  It helps me get through the day.

I hang out in AF, CC, and Wellness and have learned so much from so many.

PS:  It has been many years since my mother died.  I now LAUGH about when she would hang up on me when I said anything she did not agree with and I would have to hit redial!

DEAR ForrestWolf--

I see your name, think of you, and THANK you every time I make my very favorite crock pot pork chop recipe, since it has your name on it!!! Yummmmmm!!!!!!!

Life certainly has its ups and downs and the older I get the more I have come to realize that, for sure!! The one thing I have found is that no way can you depend on someone else for your happiness.

Anyway, I am sure happy to see you here again, and I hope you find some inner peace and contentment. You deserve that.

Sending you lots of cyber hugs!!!

We don't know one another, but I want to send best positive wishes to you.

Please stay in touch, you seem to have many good friends here.

Hello

@forrestwolf

Your father sounds like my mother and as I mentioned before she is narcisstic. He may have the same disorder. It's a painful thing for childern of any age to have to live with. You just have to distance yourself from him.  Take Care and Good Luck!

Dear Forrestwolf:

So wonderful to hear from you.  It is important to honor family, but not at the expense of demeaning one's own life.  We alll love you and have missed you.

I hope your journey overseas to help your health situation will be safe and that whatever treatment you are to receive their is successful.

May the wind always be at your back . . .

Love, and more love,

@forrestwolf

your post brought to mind this song I learned at Girl Scouts many years ago-

Make new friends but keep the old

One is silver

The other is gold

You, dear Friend, are gold! So happy to reconnect with you. You've been missed.

 It is good to reconnect with people who support you.  You have guts that I don't have.  I am going through some unspeakable problems and have no one to talk to about it.  Good for you. Hope you get some support.  I wish you better days.

I thank you all for your positive words that have been thrown my way.....HeartHeart

Someone mentioned depression, and forgive me who, but I think that we are all capable of situational depression.....Does not mean we need professional help, but sometimes, writing down your feelings at the moment make you feel better, and better about yourself...I have been on these boards for quite a while, and I have quite enjoyed the frindship bonds that I have made here, and just feel that I could come here and write a negative, and get a positive feeling from friends....Friends that I will never meet in person, and friends that I can not put a face to, but none the less....FRIENDS.....

In my day, you had pen pals...There was no computer..Woman Surprised You actually had to write with pen and paper.....What joy a pen pal was......

I do not facebook, twitter, instagram, or things like that, as my job can look at all of these and judge me with job insecurity to me...I do have a Pintrest page, with a lot about history, wolves, animals, recipes, and my beloved Native American history......

I am looking for positives, and hope they out weigh the negatives, but I will take what life throws my way......

I did not realize that they moved my post to here, as most know me from recipes board, but maybe it was a positive thing, as it look as if I can make friends with positive attitudes here as well.......Heart

Thanks to you all!!!!!!! Looking forward to new friends to add to my old........Woman Very Happy
