It has been a long week. One of my kitties passed away...Dealing with aging other pets....I try to remember to breathe .To calm down... Sometimes it works, sometimes not. With that said...

Lots of good is still in my life.

To everything a season rings true...

Every thing is a lesson,A time of reflection..

To be thankful for what was, what is to come.

Life is temporary...

The time to dance is short,so dance often.

Love without thought, sometimes too much thought is counterproductive.

Most importantly.....

Tomorrow  is a new day.

The chance to celebrate life again...

@Tweety68   I am so sorry you lost your cat and have others with problems.  Pets are such wonderful company, aren't they?

My dear cat of fourteen years died two years ago and she is still very much missed.  Did not get another cat and now after relocating just help care for the neighborhood outdoor cats who do spend a lot of time in my yard.

You have a wonderful attitude.  I hope some pleasant positive things come your way over the holiday weekend.

@Tweety68

Last Night

I stood by your bed last night; I came to have a peek.
I could see that you were crying, you found it hard to sleep.

I purred to you softly as you wiped away a tear,
"It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here."

I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour your coffee.
You were thinking of the many times your hand reached down to me.

I was with you at the shop today; your arms were getting sore,
I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.

I was with you at my grave today; you tend it with such care.
I want to re-assure you, that I'm not lying there.

I walked with you toward the house, you fumbled for your key.
I gently put my paw on you; I smiled and said, "It's me."

You looked so very, very tired and sank into a chair.
I tried so hard to let you know that I was standing there.

It's possible for me to be so near you everyday,
to tell you with such certainty, "I never went away."

You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew....
in the stillness of the evening, I was very close to you.

The day is over, I smile and watch you yawning
and say, "Goodnight, God Bless, I'll see you in the morning."

And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
I'll rush across to meet you and we'll stand side by side.

I have so many things to show you, there's so much for you to see.
Be patient, live your journey out....then come home to be with me.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

@Tweety68  I am so sorry about your kitty.  Aging pets is always a worry.  It is important to take a deep breath, take time to reflect on your life, and time to reflect on how much joy your pets bring/brought to you, even when things look bleak.  We are right there with you.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!
