A $1390 stimulus check for eligible Americans is not a new federal initiative that's been approved by Congress or the IRS. The NYS check that is coming is basically a refund of above budgeted sales tax revenue that the state collected due to inflation prices.

A number of states have done this, but it's new in NY.  Looking forward to receiving mine.  The intent is not to "stimulate" anything.

No refunds in Colorado this year.  Colorado has over spent to support other programs. It has never been a "significant" amount.  A couple hundred bucks even when there were millions available.
