I also bought this cosmetic case about a month ago for travel. When mine first arrived it came completely flat in a small envelope that it just fit in. I had a heck of a time getting it back to what it should look like! The cosmetic case was really cold from being out in the mailbox so I waited until the case warmed up plus I used a hairdryer to blow warm air on it to help me manipulate it back into shape. I then stuffed it with paper and let it sit a few days like that. And it worked 😃! My zippers all work too. I think it’s a really cute case and it sounds like it will work perfectly for your trip to Africa.

Wanted to give a review on the LUG Double Decker Cosmetic Case - F13629 - because I thought it would work really well for backpacks and/or carry-ons.

Was looking for something to put in my backpack for my Africa trip. I am limited to 33 pounds, which includes my duffel bag and my backpack or carry-on. When I travel, I always put in my backpack/carry-on my meds and some basic toiletries like toothpaste, toothbrush, deodorant, Advil, hand wipes, no jet lag, etc. This small cosmetic case will work very well for that. Unfortunately I forgot the measurements and I'm at work, but gave the item number so you can see them there. It has straps for small cosmetic brushes, pens, pencils, or whatever you may want to use them for.

It will fit nicely in the main compartment of my backpack or even a smaller compartment too. Of course, I'm sure the TSA people will open it but thats ok. I like having it all in one neat bag. Then I can just leave all the stuff in there for the return flight home.

Know some of the reviews talked about zippers not working but mine were fine.

I just looked at it online and I really like the layout of it and the size. I have two Bare Minerals cases from years ago and they are really big and always wanted one that was smaller and easier to pack.
