Usps deliver problems... Please stop using them

I think QVC must lose lots of money because of USPS not being able to deliver packages while all of the other carriers around do. Why oh why do they still use USPS. I have never had a problem with Amazon deliveries.. but constantly have problems with QVC.

Maybe the issue is your local Post Office. I don't have any problems with USPS deliveries.

I live in the country...USPS delivers my most of my Q & other packages, they do a great job. UPS throws my packages & will only deliver if they have multiple packages in the area, if not they transfer to USPS. Amazon uses FedEx or USPS. Delivery varies depending where you live, some are better than others.

You don't say whether you live in a rural, suburban, or urban area, but it doesn't sound like you've checked into problems with your own local post office.

Do your neighbors have the same issues?

I've never had problems with USPS deliveries.

Perhaps the challenge is with the SENDER.

I get Ebay and Etsy packages within a few days.

Deliveries with different carriers are a varied as the areas they deliver to. It all comes down to the employees. Some are wonderful, some just barely go through the motions, some don't seem to even do that.

It's frustrating, but unrealistic to think eliminating USPS as an option will happen.

I live in a huge urban area. USPS delivery is HORRIBLE!!!!!!! Our local post office is rated THE WORST in the country. No joke. I've had many packages stolen by postal workers. The package gets to the local PO and it disappears.

Wow, I must say I've never had a problem getting my stuff with USPS. Guess it depends where you live.

Sounds like it might be a local problem. I ship over 1200 packages a year using the USPS exclusively and very rarely have a problem.

@Grinstead. Dream on. I can guarantee QVC isn't going to quit using usps, the least expensive carrier. I get excellent service from them. Once a package hits the local distribution center, like clockwork, it shows up in my mailbox the next day.

@Desertdi. Those are shipped first class. QVC uses a rate with a lower cost and priority.

Out of USPS, UPS, Fed Ex, Amazon et al....

USPS is one of the best as far as keeping me informed as to where packages are in the shipping process and delivering my packages right inside my hallway!

Amazon is my next favorite shipper followed bu UPS and I think Fed Ex stinks.

So far I have never had issues with USPS. Always get my deliveries. QVC and others as well.

I worked at a post office for years after retiring. One position I held while working was managing the incoming and outgoing mail depts for a huge corporation.

Every huge corporation contracts with USPS, FedEx, UPS. It saves corporations a ton of money!

Q chooses to ship Parcel Post. Parcel post is the lowest priority mail for USPS.

Parcel Post often relies on 3rd party truckers to move it from one place to the next - they aren't going to do that unless there is a profit. Packages can sit for a little while until they are picked up at each stop.

Parcel Post can sit at a post office until they are able to sort because the priority is so low. That's why it costs so little to ship this way.

Q could spend a couple pennies more and ship at the next higher level but they choose not to. You wouldn't see so many issues if they did.

Don't understand the "not being able to deliver" part. You have signed up to track and then the package went missing and you reported it?

What was the resolution?
