Music Playing in Background

I don't understand the logic behind cranking up the background music when the host is talking. It would make sense right before a segment change or something, but it seems it just randomly starts sometimes and goes on and on forever, and it is very distracting. But the absolute worst is that they have started playing loud music with vocals in the background louder than the host. This makes it impossible to hear anything the host says at all. This is a horrible decision if the goal is to sell product. Because all it makes me do is grab the remote as fast as possible to change the channel. The music should be soft and complimentary, and only used at selected times like at a segment change, and should never compete with the host.

AND...that "music"...ALWAYS has a kind of "rat-a-tat-tat" UPBEAT, maybe to get you excitied to make a purchase.

All it does is JANGLE MY NERVES...

I have my music playing in the background all day long and have never noticed any music playing on QVC! Of course, I have my volume turned way down because they rarely have anything to say about the products.

You can adjust your audio on your television @Bcm924 . I noticed the same thing on one of our TV's and thought wow, what is going on. The background music was extremely loud. Then, I went into another room with a different TV and it wasn't the same. I barely heard the background music. I understand it being annoying as I experienced it but realized I needed to adjust the audio. And this isn't a new thing, this happened to me about a year ago and I've had no issues since.

Adjusting the audio worked and the sound is better on all other channels as well.

I went to my TV settings and looked to change the audio adjustment from Standard to Voice. That way the sound coming at me is concentrated for speech rather than music or other background sounds. Makes it easier to hear what people are saying.

I don't usually notice music in the background during a presentation, but I do hear it as a presentation is coming to an end. As if to signal "that's a wrap" or "time to move on". The music that I don't care for is the music for Gourmet Holiday. I don't know why I feel that way, I just do.

To me all their "music" (noise to me) is awful and annoying. It sounds artificial and always has. Plus they play the same for years on end.
