I bought at Nordies, and there is a notation , says runs big, size down. Just do it. I never go by QVC measurements, some may have had luck ...not me. I bought NYDJ on QVC several years ago, never again. Most aren't what they sell other places. I sized down and the fit was larger, and fit different than ones I bought at Nordies. Just sayin

I own a few of the NYDJ jeans - love them, BUT I always check the size chart. How can Mark say size down one size? If you look at the size chart for the Ellison and compare to Marylyn straight leg - the hip size on the Ellison is 3 inches smaller??? No way would they fit the same? Just be aware. I would have to size up and not down.... I wish all manufactures would be consistent in their sizes. Even Belle has changed their sizes from when they first came to the Q... I don't want to have to do returns... I understand different fabrics but 3 inches is a lot...... Just wanted to pass on what I have observed.... Have a good weekend...

I find different styles fit differently; in some styles llike Margot Girlfriend sizing down worked, but in some others sizing down they were too tight. That is my experience.

At least for me. They fit so nice in waist, hip and butt. I bought petite, I was 5'3 at time, and it was perfect. The black can bleed, or they did ...becuse dye is so black. I used to wash first in vinegar to set dye. I can't attest to how they are now, but they always were to go to Jean for me

I think that's more about the cut and style. The Marliyns which seem to be the most popular were just too big over all for me. I put the Ellison on my wish list because he said they were a slimmer fit but then he said the thighs were still more relaxed so off the wish list they came. The Sheri style worked for me because they are true slim fit.

So Marilyn seems to be cut more for those with hips and Sheri for people like me who are sadly very without. I used to buy INC jeans and they used to have a style and then within the style they had curvy or slim. I think NYDJ just skips that and each fit gets a different name. Sort of helpful because I know I can just skip right past Marilyns.

Larger. The jeans design are different because she adjusts waist, thigh area differently. Then she has the lift panel. Years ago when they were first marketing them the sizing was explained. Example. The size is based more on a real woman size 10, than a regular factory 10 which is based on just numbers . lol. Most designer or specific label clothing has off sizing. In fact, try to buy high end tops or pants from Moschino, Dior, Valentino lol. They are so small....and they only go to size large...and a large is like 8-10. lol. Designers do it because , they can! All I can figure

They'd never fit me. I have a larger waist, so if I get a pair that fit me in the waist, I have to go up a size or 2, according to the size chart. I bought a pair, in my normal size, at the outlet, just to try them, and I couldn't button the waist, but the hips were a little big, so I immediately dropped it off at a donation spot. Maybe, I'll go to a retail store and try them on again.

I first tried them at Nordstrom, They told me to size down one size. So I would put on a 0. They fit,but I asked why when regular size 0 would be too snug. They said it was extra room in the bottom/stomach area. Thus the name of the jean. I much prefer regular size jeans to this. But at least I knew they would fit. So I sometimes order a size down from QVC when they show up there. I don't usually have any trouble. Those that haven't tried them, should try them at a department store first.
