Front tucked pants

A suggestion for your viewers: please stop showing the tops in a front tuck.

I like to wear leggings and because of that I purchase tops that are long enough to cover the rear. I like to know how long the tops actually are, but you can't when they are shoved into the front of the models pants.

Longer tops are also appreciated by taller people. But you can't tell how long they are when tucked. I know you can always check the item's measurements on line- but I have found that to not always be as accurate as a visual.

@retiredatlast. D8d you know you have access to all the garment measurements including the length.

Go to the description and at the end of the text, it says to click here for the measurements. That ought to solve your problem.

Not a fan of front tucked style esp when it's a tunic they are trying to pass off.

I agree about front tucking. I want to see how a top looks w/o that.

On a side note...seems the front-tuck is on it's way out. That's what I've been reading. But do what you want. No rules, no judging.

No one should have to go to garment measurements to get a sense of how a garment looks. That's the purpose of live television. That's the advantage QVC has over other retailers.

If they want to show a half tuck, or a full tuck do it after it's displayed untucked.

I watch (or read a lot of fashion) sites or blogs etc…. And they all say the half tucking thing is beyond over, and they point to the resurgence in belts as proof. I would guess they are of the opinion that we should tuck in the entire top and add a belt. My personal thought are that fashions rules are silly and women should do or wear what pleases them. If you view the specific garment measurement tab you will see the length of any top you’re interested in. Maybe that could help you a bit, since I doubt we will see less front tucking anytime soon.

The front tuck doesn't bother me at all.

The listed measurements are your best bet if you need specific style or coverage. I'm spending my money, so yes I'll take that step if it's something I need to know for that item.

The models, even on live TV, can only do so much. No one has my exact stature or measurements. Someone the same height as me will have a shorter or longer torso, different length inseam, etc.

I only shop online @QVC. If you want to "see it in action" you just click on that and that's enough if it's something I'm interested in. The other day I was doing just that-watching it in action. This gal was showing me everything about this pair of trousers but she absolutely would NOT turn around. Not even for a second. I wanted to see the back of the pant and how it looked on, but it was not to be. BOY! Was that irritating.

@retiredatlast ...............Im with you. Do not tuck them while featuring the top, that goes for models and hosts. Other times its not a big deal to me.

my granddaughters do this. They range in age from 19-35. I do not. I am 78. So no tuck here. I don't think age makes a difference, but I do know with young so,en it is a huge trend. Also they tend to wear the baggier pants as well.

@Kachina624 Thanks for your response. I did mention in my post that I know that the measurements are available on line, but I find they are not always that accurate. I still like to see how the item fits/drapes on the models. It gives me a clearer idea about the product. The half tuck detracts from being able to view the top length which is the important feature for me. And I have found the on-line information to not always be accurate for that. Since I wear leggings a lot, the tush coverage is an important factor for me.

@retiredatlast I also find the measurements have never worked for me, ever. I have my measurements taken by the seamstress that does my alterations over the years. So they are correct. They are always too big , especially in chest and shoulders. With QVC it is hard. I have exchanged the M, that was to large, for a small. But the small just doesn't fit right. I quit buying clothes here for at least 15-20 years. Except one Jenny Garth. I had to go down to small in pants. They fit okay, I wear them. Just could be pinch roomier. Just to give you and idea, if I buy clothes at Nordie,( their store brand) I get size 10,or medium. There are brands I wear large top. So the Q is vanity sized. I think pieces are cut larger through bust and shoulders? And I'm a 38C bra. . Each designer is different. When I started with Q, all my clothes were from them. I wore same size in everything they sold, everything! after 2000, and the change to all overseas manufacturing..it was a ****** shoot. Always too large, long...and then ..each vendor had different sizing.

Another non-fan of the half or front tuck look. I think that it just looks sloppy or that you were in a hurry and accidentally forgot to finish tucking in your top. And for online shoppers it makes it difficult to decide how an UNtucked version of the top might look. Glad the fad is fading.

@shoekitty I buy a lot from Nordy. I have gotten the nicest Cotton tee-shirts of good quality for $30-$35 free shipping and free returns. I am not paying $61 for Amy Stran's tee-shirts as much as I like her and her style, It just pays to shop around.

and I agree I am an XXS or XS in Q clothing but a small at Nordy's. They publish size guides for all the designers and the reviews as well as Nordy usually say if they run small or large. So far I've been successful

Please stop doing this. We want to see the full top and

the hemline and how it fits on the models and hosts live while presenting...especially if the hemline has any type of design....
