Pack your fragile items better!

Please pack your Mackenzie Childs items better! My first item arrived yesterday damaged. There was no styrofoam in the box, nothing but bubble wrap. A chunk of enamel is missing.

What a shame @christikate and I would return if something cracked. I'm planning on a move and gently wrap all my find crystal pieces like baccarat and lalique with bubble wrap. They are iron proof so well packed!. (most would say Lalique what is that? lol.

PS. sometimes I want to get rid of these pretty pieces but I don't have the heart (yet) from my family heirlooms. So what do I do??

Once again wrap and bring them with me.

Off topic but I am a reader. The books I am leaving behind hurts me more than the crystal. I guess I find the older I get the less important they are. No one cares anyway but make the boxes heavier at my cost for the movers. $$$$

It's very disappointing! The box is not even marked 'fragile". They have a TSV coming up and I wanted to post this so hopefully they will fix this issue before then.

@christikate sorry about this ignorant lax treatment. I hope it will be rectified and I'm sure it will be if you give them notice. And good I might add. I would just stop payment with yout CC card for something so special.

A pretty piece is one to get excited abut when one opens. Not the experience you had. Please let them know soonest via phone and that it is just not acceptable. Best. You can handle this.

They're probably packed by the manufacturer and just stuck in a box by QVC. The damage could have occurred anywhere along its way fron the manufacturer.

That's my question also! Where was the item packed?

I've received glass LocknLock and Temptations items that were obviously packed at the manufacturing facility and then shipped to QVC for redistribution from a QVC facility.

I believe that it is presumptuous to assume QVC is responsible unless there is clear evidence.

The very least they could do is stamp the box 'Fragile". This is a $169 item and it does not want to make me order anything else from Q in this line. I'll drive to Dillards later this week and see if they have it in stock. I don't care who is at fault, I now have to print my own return label and make a 30 minute drive to the post office.

- They sent a 2 qt teapot in a box twice the size of the item, with no styrofoam on top & bottom; nothing but bubble wrap.

- The box was not marked Fragile.

- There was no return label in the box.

- I ordered the item from QVC and it was shipped from QVC.

- I won't be providing evidence of anything except I received a product missing a chunk of enamel.

- I now have to print a return label and drive to the P.O. Those are the facts. I don't care who packaged the item but I sure hope they get it right before they have the upcoming TSV!

Check the mailing label . Mackenzie childs uses thick bubble wrap around items or molded styrofoam and the mailing label says MacKenzie Childs.

To me that tea kettle was damaged before it was packed . If you got it from QVC stock , it may have been a customer return

Was there a little plastic sheath over the tip of the spout ?

I years past , I had bought a new tea kettle fromSHOPHQ when they were operational . The tea kettle was packed in molded foam. All theMacKenzie Childs items came directly fromMacKenzie Childs factory despite ordering fromSHOPHQQ.

I also bought a tea kettle a couple yrs later direct;y fromMacKenzie Child'ss and it was packed in molded foam with plastic sheath over spout.

What difference does it make where the damage occurred? Have you contacted QVC customer service or the QVC social team and what did they tell you? I have rarely had to return anything to QVC because it was delivered damaged. But QVC will either refund your money or replace the damaged item. But it does no good just to complain here.

Unfortunatley, that's the chance you take with delivery.
