Palm Springs??

I am kind of shocked! I read that QVC is filing for bankruptcy but there is enough money to send a huge staff to Palm Springs! Really?? your prices continue to go higher and higher and some of the best vendors are no longer offered but you have the money to spend to send everyone to Palm Springs. Kind of make me sick. I don't want to stop having a QVC option but it looks like it could happen

I've been thinking and feeling the same regarding Palm Springs since I heard the announcement yesterday.

What is the point of this besides a huge expense???!!!

I'm low on the comment score as well and I too am here more often as of late. The huge debt and possible chapter 11 filing is upsetting especially to someone like myself who has been with the Q for over 3 decades!

Yes, the Palm Springs thing is especially irritating to me personally considering the circumstances!

In light of QVC's financial problems, I agree that this was a bad decision unless the vendor herself picked up all expenses.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Palm Springs Tourism Bureau provided some fees and accommodations and LOGO may have provided expenses for the models. No one here knows.

Palm Springs officials plan to declare Monday, March 2 as "QVC Day."

“Palm Springs is a place where style, sunshine, and innovation come together. We’re excited to have QVC broadcast live from our city and share the special Palm Springs energy with the nation,” Mayor Naomi Soto said in a news release.

Lori is selling out of a lot of items, so many ladies appear to be watching and shopping, and is seems like a wise PR decision to film in Palm Springs.

I just adored Alberti's yellow pants earlier in the day.

It is a bit strange to hear from all the complainers about QVC and their budget decisions. I doubt the expense to film outside of the studio was that great, because right now RT airfares from PHL are only around $400.00, and they probably got a group rate!!

Now I feel like visiting PS for a few days.

Of course, I still remember fondly all the fabulous Italy gold shows.

By the way, debt restructuring is NOT bankruptcy. It is just easy pay for big companies!!

Yep! And they're all first-timers. I wonder if they're really employees of a rival shopping channel.

It would be nice, if the "arm-chair mechandising experts" could offer some helpful tips to turn things around, instead of just complaining and forecasting doom.

(Always, it seems, followed up with the threat of no longer shopping with QVC.)

@Franklinbell - Absolutely. How many of these posts have we seen, where someone "new" signs up just to post this kind of criticism of QVC? And it always follows the same kind of tone.

I don't believe there are that many potential "new" posters out there, that have found their way to the forums, just to start threads like this.

It makes sense for Palm Springs to attract in country tourists. The Canadians and Europeans are staying away in droves due to costs associated with tariffs and now, a war.
