Sizing

When you are advertising a shirt/top/sweater/t-shirt; when showing the selection of colors available, can the host please let us know the SIZE she/he is holding up. This way we can get a glimpse of how large or small that particular top might be for our personal sizing. The sizing charts don't seem to help me too much as different manufacturers might size items differently. Thank you.

@Mrs OCD. Many people don't know that the actual garment measurements are available for each item. Go to the description and at the bottom it advises you to click here for those measurements. Measure something in your closet that fits well and look for similar measurements.

First .... Welcome!

Second ... I can't imagine how holding up a garment on a hanger would give accurate information for sizing. I think you have to see it on a body or check the measurements specifically for that item, as Kachina has mentioned.

What also comes into play is body type and height. Example: Are you apple or pear-shaped? How tall are you?

You also have to consider if the garment is fitted, semi-fitted, or has a relaxed fit. That's significant, IMO.

Personally, while we're at it, I also think exact fabric content percentages will factor into decisions. If you're considering a pair of slacks, whether the fabric is 100% cotton or 90% cotton and 10% lycra will also matter ... to me, at least.

I have noticed over the years they always use an extra small size when showing a top.

@FranandZoe. Yes, you can often see the sizes when they show the colors.

@Mrs OCD For me that would not work..I always check the measurements under click here..each garment description has that feature. I have several sizes in my closet...my size has not changed it's the manufacturer that is not consistent and it also depends on the garment. style.

I wish the host would give the inseam measurements at the beginning of a presentation because it is a waste of my time if the length does not work for me. I don't want to always have go to the website to look it up.

I have the same wish also. Sometimes if they show a closeup you can see what size it is. In normal retail I wear a xsmall or small and if I can see both I know which will probably fit better. But as others have said with QVC always check the specific measurements since you can't compare in real time.

I don't buy clothes without knowing the fabric content. Q's clothes are way too full of polyester and spandex for my taste.
