While I will agree there are some hosts I can take and some I can't and that host idiosyncrasies can be annoying, folks REALLY need to stop dissecting host behaviors. Frankly, it seems a bit obsessive and abnormal.

a sales person on a shopping channel touching something that you are not going to be eating seems a bit mild

My granddaughter who is home from college for the summer works making sandwiches to order at a "gas station" told me a customer got verbally violent with her because she spoke to a coworker while making her order.

She was told to " stop talking over my food."

The nutty lady demanded to see a mananger and wanted her fired. The coworker she was speaking to was her manager.

Some people who are worried about germs in public food kitchens should just eat at home.

There is no such thing as germ free foods. It's even worse when they try to monitor a salesperson on TV and they aren't even going to be eating the food.

There must be a scientific name for people with this type of phobia.

I really think that someone who posts once every year or in your case @Vitsy, once every 5 years, then every 6 months to post a complaint about hosts must change their QVC "name" and enjoy posting complaints. A very strange way to find enjoyment in life.

It is just hard to believe anyone does that for fun or only to get other's reactions or worse case, something is very wrong with them.

Whatever the reason, it just is a game that doesn't need to be played, over and over.

Food used in demonstrations is thrown out. It's been sitting out for HOURS and then spends time under hot lights.

Bacteria grows quickly and food poisoning is a very real possibility. No one ever eats that stuff.

ALL food on cooking shows is just a prop, not for human consumption ... ever. If I had to guess, it's likely that would be a health/safety violation of some sort.
