How dare you QVC make a beautiful model walk out onto the stage with a size that is too small. Im talking about tonight's special value blazer from Joan Rivers. I wont name the model because they are all beautiful. If you cant find a size to look right on the model then dont make them walk out there to be embarrassed. So Bad!!! you should be ashamed .

I don't know exactly who you're referring to, but maybe this is the way this particular person likes to wear her clothing. Some peope like clothing to be snug and others more loose. It doesn't really bother me. I just look at the garment, style and price.

I agree. If you're the same size as the model - whoever the model may - how are you able to tell how the garment would look on you in the correct size if a model, any sized model, is wearing something too small? I understand it's the 'style' right now, but it doesn't seem like a good sales tactic. Just a personal opinion from someone who prefers roomier clothing because of the comfort aspect.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry how indignant OP feels.

It's not like their studio has a warehouse next door where they can run and find something at the last minute. Incorrect sizes are worn by hosts and others all the time.

There is obviously lack of planning by Q staff to have the correct sizes on hand but it isn't worth the angst and trauma of OP's post.

I agree with the OP, it's doing a disservice to the vendor and to the customers and shows a lack of professionalism. Seems to me that it is indicative of the Q's business these days.

The OP has a valid criticism. I try to ignore the ill fitting clothes on models and some hosts. I figure it's because they don't have the right size on the set. But, it's never made sense to me, that they don't enhance the appearance of the garments by providing the right size. This is essential.

I'm sure the appearance of the models affects purchases. The Q's beautiful models, regardless of size, should assist the viewers in making their selections, not confuse them wearing the wrong size. I suspect this results in some lost sales.

This has been going on for years. D&C almost always stuffed Carolyn Gracie into a top which was obviously too small, the same with many pants. Looked awful.

Some like to say I wear a small or extra extra small which there is no such size?

Don't pay attention to the size. Buy what fits regardless of the size on that tag. You will look better & feel more comfortable in your clothes.

I agree it's been going on for a long time. Though I don't often watch the fashion shows on Q, I've seen many models & hosts try to squeeze into too small sizes. And do you notice there are so many in size XXS and XS? Is it that important to them to be that size?

Reminds me of a funny ep of "Married With Children" when Al Bundy was trying to squeeze the shoe on a large woman's foot and after much effort and pain the woman said, "See, I told you I was a size 4!" LOL

Yes, often times, way too tight.

'On the other hand', we can see that we should size up when ordering.

I'm guessing that the models were hired to be 'a 'certain size', and that size is what is being sent to the models' closet.

What is a size too small in some people's eyes is a perfect fit to others!!! Wear what you like and let others do the same No one is forcing anyone to wear a size they do not want to wear!!! There are now materials that stretch and tighter clothing is more comfortable for many!

Jackie, the model, is never, ever in her correct size. It is, always, too small. The models do not chose their size clothes, the stylists do. I find the stylists on QVC to be lacking.

Years ago, when Louis Dell 'Olio had his line, he styled every single one of his shows himself. He supplied the shoes, the accessories, the gloves etc. Even supplied sketches showing the outfit as well as the accessories which were attached to the garment bag containing the complete outfit. I later yer, he was required to use shoes that were from QVC Sales inventory, jewelry as well until he started selling his jewelry.

Whether you cared for his designs or not, his presentations were professional, cohesive and well presented. Everyone of his models were beautifully dressed. It was a mini runway. He was the only designer whose attention to detail was as important to him as the items he was selling.

@AngelPuppy1 I have to say, you've correctly touched on something that's plagued me my entire life! In my case, I wear clothing too large (specifically, tops--except sleeveless), and I've always heard about it, from friends and family.

To further compound matters, I've always been thin, despite eating like a field hand, so it's more noticeable. My shoulders are broad, and I've always felt a constricting "tightness" in that area in smaller top sizes. This was hilarious in the '80s with their shoulder pads and emphasized shoulders. Tops and even work blazers hung straight from my broad shoulders, and distressed, incredulous family members would come up to me, follow the line of the blazers with their hands, then dramatically pull them in at the waist lol.

Since retirement, I dress much more casually, but I still love oversized tops. If I see a "batwing" (that's what they used to be called, and they're still around) top, I'm all over it! 😀

In the end, you just have to be comfortable in what you're wearing. If it doesn't fit you, it doesn't fit. 🤷‍♀️

There are times when it doesn't seem they are paying attention to the on air presentation. Which is a shame because that is the one area not available to most other clothing retailers. That's where they should shine.

What I find unprofessional is when an on air garment is worn and the wrinkles or creases haven't been steamed out. Would you walk out the door wearing it that way?

I think it's understandable if a host decides to wear something in front of them from the rack and their size isn't there. Some will say whether it's their size or not. But the models should always be wearing the correct size.

I would think QVC has sizes on hand that fit the models who usually model that line of clothing.

But, what happens if a model gets sick or calls off and another one has to fill in?

There is no way QVC has every size in stock in the model's closet. Sometimes they have to make do. Also, what happens if the model gains a few pounds?

Should they be fired?

I often see a model wearing shoes that are too big. Stuff happens.

It's not that big of a deal. I doubt the model is embarassed. Why should they be?

I don't know how to correct this problem, mainly because all of the models' items (tight or not tight) are shipped directly into their dressing room(s).

Depending on the cut or style of a clothing item the fit of the same size can vary. I have heard the hosts say order a size up because the fit of the clothing item is snug or more form fitting.

When I was a young teen and was nice and thin and fit, I wore clothing that was form-fitting, such as tight jeans. But my clothing, while I liked ked things to fit me pretty well, I never liked things extremely tight, tops, pants, etc. Now that I am older and a good bit heavier, I don't enjoy anything form-fitting.

I think if you like to wear tops, pants, etc., a bit larger than why not? This is what you feel comfortable in. It's all about a person's own particular comfort level.

One thing I keep saying to myself:

Model Crystal seems to always be wearing her correct fit.

She is a Medium, and wears that size very nicely.

So far, nothing 'too tight' on her.
