Proofreading "Ads"

I recently saw and heard an "ad" during a break in programming that terribly needed proofreading. It referenced a "beauty regiment" and the voiceover also said "beauty regiment." This is an ignorant mistake that should have been caught ty SOMEONE. "Regiment' is a military term referring to a group of military personnel, and has nothing to do with beauty. The correct word is "regimen," which means a routine. This oversight reflects on the quality of your network, and should have been caught by an editor somewhere down the line before publication. My suggestion is either more careful editors or more knowledgeable editors who understand the nuances of the English language. Thank you!

Many words or phrases take on different meanings over time!! It is easy to get what is meant so why the fuss!!

I might notice if I paid attention to commercials/ads but would have instantly forgotten about it. It's not my problem. There is nothing I can do about it. It isn't life or death.

My dad had PhDs in English and History. He always said to never criticize another's speech or use of words. They may not have had the opportunity, ability to learn, or it might have been a simple mistake. He said be kind and move on.

The one that makes me nuts is when they say to "add this into your beauty REGIME." Hello. Look up that word, please.
